We tried out countryside for the first time and loved it! We had a great server who was very attentive and explained what was on... the breakfast buffet and made great recommendations once we decided to order off menu. Their breakfast burrito is huge! This was our first time eating here and we were not disappointed! It certainly isn't much to look at from the outside, but... inside they have done a great job making it very warm, clean, and inviting. The food was delicious, the prices were veryreasonable, and the portions were generous. The staff was also amazing and attentive. Our favorites were the breakfast bowl &the breakfast burrito. We stopped by the Grill to sample their wonderful Friday night seafood buffet! The buffet is simple: shrimp, clams, smelt and... cod, mashed potatoes, gravy, hush puppies and corn. Price included a well stocked salad bar and two of the most delicioushomemade soups in Northern Michigan. The owner was also our waiter this night, and was fabulous! He also gave us a brief andvery interesting history of the location, and also some of the plans for the next phase of their growth! The cod is hands downthe best I have ever had. Everything else was good as well, especially the tasty split pea soup. Do yourself a favor and makesure you leave time for a stop along M-55 for a meal at Countryside Grill.
