Still the best (and most pricey) restaurant in Lake City. All dishes are made of excellent quality ingredients. You can... definitely tell the preparation and care is handled by a professional. The service staff is trained to be a couple notchesabove all others, with their politeness, smiles and impeccable timing. All of this is an 'experience' more than a place to eat. Reservations are recommended. My highest recommendations! Read more

The inside was far nicer than my dusty motorcycle camping day deserved, and their two-seat porch tables suited me perfectly! A... delicious cocktail and appropriately sized chicken pot pie (cheapest on the menu? it definitely didn't taste like it) were justright before I took to the Alpine Loop to find a campsite Read more

Came here five years ago and today my experience was just as fantastic. That’s a testament to the love and care the staff and... managers put into this place! Great food, but the service definitely goes above and beyond. Even though it was booked up withreservations the hostess got me a table outside. I didn’t mind at all even though it was about 55 degrees and raining. Thenshe came by and gave me a blanket because I was in shorts! Can honestly say that’s never happened. Will keep coming backevery time I’m in the area! Read more

Showed up after riding on the alpine loop for a good meal, didn't realize reservations should have been made but they squeezed... us in immediately anyway. The appetizers and dinners we chose were all excellent. The waiter was very prompt and efficient. Itwas a nice treat to find a higher end restaurant in such a remote location. Will definitely stop by again if we make it back toLake City. The pineapple jalapeno margarita was great but be prepared for a little heat. Read more

The food is stellar, at least my pork chop was and my husband really enjoyed the chicken pot pie. What made our visit... exceptionally memorable was Razvan's service. This young man was friendly and competent. We were a large party and he trackedall the requests and separate billing by couples straight. Read more

This place is just amazing. We’ve eaten here at least once pretty much every year we take our summer vacation. This year we... were staying in Creede, but made reservations and drove up just to eat at THE CLIMB. It’s that good. The owners and the staffare just absolutely amazing and friendly and work hard to make sure your visit is unforgettable. I order the Peak Experiencemenu item myself and highly recommend it, my daughter recommends the homemade fettuccine Alfredo. She’s an Alfredo aficionadoand claims it’s the best there is. Her friend recommends the quail. But let’s be honest, everything that comes out of thiskitchen is amazing. You won’t be disappointed! Read more

I love restaurants that have no comparable competition in their area yet still strive for a level of quality that sets them... apart to high degree. Climb is far and away the best restaurant in Lake City. We started with a charcuterie board, highlightedby a delicious elk sausage and locally sourced honey. I followed that up with the "Taste of Colorado". A combination plate ofelk tenderloin, lamb chop, and southern fried quail. All three were cooked perfectly and each included a gastrique that pairednicely. Elk/blueberry, quail/raspberry, and lamb/balsamic glaze. The pièce de résistance was entitled "Elevated S'mores"which consisted of a deconstructed s'more enriched with a fresh baked brownie and French vanilla ice cream. Portion sizes onall our plates were generous to say the least, yet not a morsel was left to be brought home. Even better, the service wassuperb! What a pleasant surprise to find this place tucked away in the San Juans. An absolute MUST if driving through thisquiet mountain town. Read more

We’ve been to climb a few times. Creative drinks with high quality food is what you get. The spinach artichoke dip was the... standout food wise for us and the Round Mountain (blend between red wine and whiskey) was a total surprise! Make sure you get areservation. Getting a walk-in spot is rare. Read more
