We visit lake Charles several times a year, and I was excited to try out the James 710 for the first time! It was an absolutely... wonderful experience! Food was superb. Great ambiance, and the service was excellent! The craft cocktails were AWESOME, and Ilove that they have some of my favorite local beers on tap (ghost in the machine?!). Our server Jason was awesome! Veryattentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We asked for his recommendations, and he was totally on point for what we asked. Wewill definitely be back!! Read more

This place has lots of parking. The entrance to the restaurant is on the north side of the building. They have a good sized... patio space, but it was full due to the nice weather so we sat inside. The staff seemed to be working double-duty(understaffed). They gave us good service, although it was a bit slow. The food was amazing. The beet hummus was delicious. Theswordfish was so tender and juicy. Loved the mango chili chutney that came with it as well as the coconut rice. The chocolatemousse was super dense and tasty. We had the burger, and the tuna tacos served on Bibb lettuce. The tacos had so much flavor and were perfect for a light lunch.... The burger on the other hand was a whole experience in itself. My husband said it was delicious. He also had a cocktail that heliked, and on top of great food, the service was nothing short of amazing. Our waitress went above and beyond to make sure wehad everything we needed. We had our 1 year old with us, and she catered to her every need. We were very impressed and willdefinitely be back!! Open for lunch only, my first visit was on Saturday around 12:30 and the place was crowded, but we were seated immediately. I... started with a Cucumber Margarita which was incredible in that it seemingly evaporated from my glass, necessitating asecond. We shared the Wings to start and they were delicious. I tried the Scallops and the unique combination of chorizo withthem proved to be a delightful pairing. My second visit for lunch allowed me to sample the Bisque, full of blue crab, and theBrisket Tacos: three corn tortillas stuffed with meat and various Southwest garnishes. What a treat! Service was awesome, the food even better. Many different and exiting combinations. I highly recommend you find... this place and enjoy a very good meal. Price was somewhat expensive, but it was worth every cent. We had individual steaks andan anniversary dessert to share. Read more
