We came with the best intentions to enjoy fresh coffee and cake, however the place was absolutely packed at 2:30 in the pm. ... Didn't have our cell phone AND they would NOT, absolutely NOT EVER take an order at the drive thru in person. I placed an online order Saturday, 7/2/22 at 4:45 pm, the order said it would be ready by 5. When I got to the restaurant, there... was a handwritten sign on the door saying that due to no staff, they were closed. The employee at the door let me in when I toldher I had placed an online order. While I was waiting for the manager, I noted at least 3 employees in the kitchen, 2 employeesat the drive thru, 2 front employees and the manager. For whatever reason, that apparently wasn?t enough people to take care ofmy order. She explained that I must?ve placed my order after they closed the kitchen (mind you, I had placed the order 15 minago). But no one thought to call me and let me know they would cancel my order and issue a refund? What about any other peopleafter me, who also placed online orders? Meanwhile, the 2 drive thru employees were chatting with someone in the drive thruwindow, and the person loudly said BI***, causing me to look straight at her, and all the employees turned and looked back atme, because they recognized that I, a customer, just witnessed this loud disrespectful conversation. Oh, and there was oneperson inside eating CHURCHS CHICKEN at a table? The manager finally showed up at the register to issue the refund. The onlyreason they get 2 stars, is because the girl that was at the front had to have a lot of patience to turn people away and dealwith the other couple of customers eating inside. Lucy was amazing. The store was busy, I came through the drive through to pick up my online order. She double checked my order... to make sure it was exactly what I had ordered. She offered me the most amazing banana cheese cake. I didn't even know they hadthose. I had forgotten to get a drink and she recommended the sweet tea. The wait to be served was 16 minutes. The New Yorker is dry and cold to touch. The chipotle bacon ???? ranch ???? spud was ok... but dry. I'm not a big fan but if you are please enjoy. Border line 2 ?? stars. Read more
I placed my first order through Door Dash for McAlister's on 3/3/22. My fiancé and I both ordered the choose 2 option. We each... choose a sandwich and the ultimate nachos with our own preferences. We each received only half of our order. We both receivedour sandwiches (which were probably only correct because we had no edits to them) but no nachos for either of us. My sandwichbread was over baked and borderline burnt. I do not hold this against Door Dash since I know the drivers aren't allowed tocheck the food. I expect more from McAlister's. We had dinner there a few nights ago and the food as well as the service wereboth great. It is very disappointing to know that the same service quality is not put forth with pickup orders. Read more

I've been to a few McAlister's Delis over the years (including the original one in Lake Charles that closed down years ago, and... this one is pretty much like all of them. The service is decent, food is pretty good, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Thislocation is pretty small but that's okay with me. Some of the tables could have used a wipe down but otherwise everything wasfine. Read more
