I made reservations for tonight to treat my sweet husband to a nice evening. We were amazed at the care Slick showed us! I asked... him to surprise me with a rum drink. He did outstanding! And, after I asked what the rum was, he showed me the bottle. Superimpressive. Our food (beat salad, fried cheese and filet with asparagus) was so very good. Nice new restaurant. Clean. Server was Alex in the bar area and he was super friendly and knowledgeable. We had the fried... oysters and Brussels sprouts appetizers - both really good. I really wanted to be impressed. The guy that took us to our table was not friendly. He looked like we were a bother. He moved... very slowly, like he didn't care about the guest or the restaurant. The look on his face as he approached us as we came in therestaurant was off-putting. He sat us at a table with water glasses that were filthy. The sunlight shining through the windowsunmasked the dirtiness. Be sure to Zoom in on my attached pic. We started with an appetizer of fried cheese. We figured, trysomething and see if the food is good. Two round balls were brought to our table. Ever eat cold, fried cottage cheese? How longdid they sit before they were served to us cold? I think this place has so much potential. Every time I have come here, the food, service, and cocktails have been very good. The... portion/value leaves more to be desired. I am not crazy about the menu - nothing stands out on paper as something I need tohave. I also wish they would push more monthly off-menu specials - The chicken and dumpling gnocchi was a nice surprise. Don'tmiss out on the brussels sprouts or blueberry mojito. Read more
The drinks are expensive but they are hand crafted with quality ingredients. The old fashion is one of the best in town. Limited... menu, however the food was very flavorful. We had the fried burratta for an appetizer and it was delicious. The spicy chickensandwich was made with a chicken thigh instead of a breast which is different but also pretty delicious!
