I liked the fact that it was fresh everything was made after order was put in. I tried coconut cream, Ube cream, and pumpkin pie... cream I think they were ok. The filling wasn?t exactly custard consistency they were too watery. This is still a good place totry, but I would still prefer Leonard?s based on taste and texture of the malasada. Read more

This was 100% my fault but I feel it needs to be said. I ordered 3 malasadas, good but Leonard's is still top dog, and a coffee.... I asked for cream with it. As I was juggling my baby, I put the cream in and as I was putting the lid on, the cup slipped outand spilled all over, in front of the lady working there, I asked for napkins and a 2nd coffee. She gave me napkins and thentold me it would be $3. Everywhere I have gone, whether I spilled or my kids, we've been given a free replacement. Like, I saidit's my fault but it happened right in front of her. I didn't drink it all and ask for another, it spilled . Accident. Where'sthe aloha? Read more

I?ve never had a malasada before and I?m so glad I got to try it for the first time from penny?s. These were so good, we grabbed... some more the second day. Many people also recommended Leonard?s and I went and tried theirs too but ultimately recommendpenny?s. I liked penny?s the most because the dough was just the right mix of fluffy with dense and their filling was theperfect sweetness. You could also taste the freshness as well. If I live in Oahu I would come here all the time! Read more

This is a store in the mall at the food court. There are a couple different flavors to choose from. There was nothing for... chocolate lovers and nothing fruity. We went with 6 to go plus ice cream sandwiches. The price was a bit shocking, I would sayeven compared to the prices of everything else in Hawaii. They were good tasting. No complains on the texture or flavor, just abit underwhelming for the cost. There wasn?t much filling, I guess maybe some people don?t like a lot of filling? I would saythey could go ahead and add more filling though, people that don?t like all of the filling don?t have to eat it. Read more

Very soft Malasadas and less oily. We only tried the plain/traditional

These malasadas were amazing, fluffy, full of custard, warm and chewy and fresh. The coconut ones were especially good, I do... recommend letting them cool a bit or you'll have melted custard all over your shirt because they serve them right out of thefryer. Read more

On a whim we stopped by. Best decision we made the entire trip. Don?t have a ton to compare it to, but none other we tried... compared to how delicious these were. Light, airy and fresh to order, we were floored by how good these were. Do not pass theseup. Read more
