Absolutely understand why this is considered the best shave ice on the island! My sister and I were determined to squeeze in a... visit before dinner. They had no line when we arrived around 6:45 on a Sunday. We ordered their Sunset Beach with passionorange, mango, and guava with a macadamia nut ice cream base. The flavors were outstanding, and the mango just melted in yourmouth. Their macadamia nut ice cream was also delicious and went surprisingly well with the other flavors! Ululani?s shave ice was my favourite shave ice I got on my recent trip to Maui and Oahu. I got the kid?s size (which was more... than enough for me) with pineapple, coconut and mango syrup and a snow cap (condensed milk). The syrups were thick and tastedlike real fruit! I also liked the shave ice texture, which was really smooth and not super ?icy?. I went after dinner at 6:45pmon a Monday and waited 45 minutes to order. THE BEST SHAVE ICE EVER! take any shave ice you've eaten (bahama bucks, matsumotos, your local stand) and times it by 5! All the... syrups are so fresh and yummy, the ice cream is locally made, and the ice itself is so soft and perfect. We came here 6 times in6 days. The last time we came they accidentally mixed up my order, so they gave us the one they messed up, a new correct one,and an extra bowl of macadamia nut ice cream! First time for shaved ice and I loved it. There is a fair queue, but it is sheltered from the sun so bearable. The menu is on... the website so you can choose whilst you wait. The queue is worth it. Best location on the island. Top tip - don't worry aboutice cream base or 'snow cap'. Try unadulterated first. Ululani size is fine for two to share or one of you want a lot on yourown. If there isn't enough concentrate then they will add more for free (wasn't a problem for us). Several sugar free optionsfor those wanting to limit sugar intake. Ululani?s is a great place to get some shave ice. They have a large number of flavors, however they get busy so they often are... out of certain ice cream or azuki beans. We tried the haupia ice cream with ours and loved it since it is basically coconut icecream, which goes really well with shave ice. Very refreshing on a hot Maui day :) Read more
