Good service, clean store. Went in the morning that the entire island lost power and the store had already covered up all the... refrigerated items that were no longer safe. Place was a mad house but nearly every checkout stand was open and they got ustaken care of as quick as possible. Read more
Great assortment of food and drinks at reasonable prices for the island. Had a good assortment of prepared food to BBQ as we... stayed in a place that had a BBQ. Worth shopping here to balance out the cost of eating out and cooking in. Forgot to mention,liquor sales are not allowed from 11pm to 6am. We are staying close to Times Grocery Store, but Safeway has more options, better prices by far, and friendly staff. It?s... definitely worth a little farther drive. When we started to by shrimp from the counter the staff person recommended a package hehad just prepared in the case that was less expensive for larger and more shrimp. It was very nice of him! Friendly staff and 24 hours! people especially tourists always complain for its chaos and crowded, I mean this is a grocery... store, even on Hawaii, it?s normal right? I can?t complain groceries are overpriced, everything on island is pricey but we enjoyeverything! Self check kiosks are closed around 8:00 pm, that?s the difference compare to those stores in mainland, you have togo to cashiers after 8, btw you can get some cheaper food on Friday and find coupons on Safeway app, overall, love it! 9/16/21updated I lowered my rating today because cooked wings is $12 per pound and ahi poke is $20 per pound, I'm broken LMAO, doesSafeway give kaamaina discount as well lol?
