We found this place online and decided to check it out. It is a local place and it had a local family feel. The live music on... Thursday was really great. If you aren’t in a hurry and want some great food this is the place. The food was really good. Ihave had a lot of Mexican food in my life and this is probably the best I’ve had. Well done! Read more

Authentic Mexican food in Maui! Wow, just wow. I was glad I found Hungry Coyote. It's tucked backed in a nondescript strip... mall, a block our two away from Front Street. They have outdoor and indoor seating. As we walked up, we were greeted byAngela who welcomed us to the restaurant. We ordered the chips and salsa as a starter. The chips were super crisp and thesalsa was amazing. The salsa very flavorful. Who puts corn in their salsa? Hungry Coyote does! We tried both the mole andverde enchiladas. The sauces are homemade and incredible. The mole beef enchiladas were delicious. This is one of the bestmole sauces that I've had. it was great combination with the beef instead of the usual chicken mole. The pork verde enchiladaswere excellent. The verde sauce was a little tangy in the right way and very tasty. The enchilada plates were served with riceand beans. The beans were creamy and rice had great flavor. You can BYOB here. We were given cold glasses for our drinks. Ican't say enough on how much I enjoyed our dining experience here. Angela was so welcoming. It was like she welcomed us intoher home. Her description on how good the menu items were spot on. What are you waiting for people, go get some authenticMexican food! Read more

The food is amazing! Do not skip this place. We had homemade guacamole, delicious. We had tacos, perfection. Mexican corn was... amazing. The flavors here are over the top. Definitely don’t forget to bring your own liquor. They will make you the mostamazing drinks with their mixers. The jalapeño marg was on point! My only reason not to give 5 stars was the place. It was fineinside, very decorative and fun, but the kitchen shared the main room only separated by a divider. Sometimes the kitchen noiseetc was not great. Read more

Had the enchiladas and the special which was mahi-mahi and shrimp. Beyond delicious. Deserves to have a spot right on front... street. Would be packed if it were in a busier location. Good thing it’s still just a 5 minute walk from Lahaina town pop.Very friendly and all the food is made from scratch authentic Mexican food! Pineapple upside down cake melted on my tongue!Everything was so amazing! Read more
