Went there for my Birthday with my Wife, we had a awesome time great service and good food.
Over-priced food and mostly greasy. Took way too long but staff was nice and my dad loved the fried chicken
Burger was ok, chicken fried steak was HUGE and was very good and tender, and finally had the shrimp it was pretty good. You... wont leave hungry thats for sure. The ladies take good care of you and are attentive, and the give as good as they get when youget ornery w/them in a fun way. We ate here yesterday, we arrived arrive @ about 530. Greeted right away, place was not busy, typical slow restaurant for this... time of day. It does get busy later on from what we were told. I'm English so I ordered the fish n chips. That was the bestfisn n chips I've ever had here in the U.S. My husband had a burger, not overcooked, but just right. The chicken fried steaklooked awsome. What a great place to take your family, or friends, or just go for a beer. We enjoyed it so much!!!! It wouldbe worth the hour drive from where we live. Great atmosphere! Try it. We will be back! This was my 2nd time eating food from there. I decided to do takeout today since it was easter sunday. Today I tried the chicken... fried steak. When I opened the box my 1st thought was OMG THAT'S HUGE ! BUT upon further inspection my thought was OMG LOOK HOWTHIN he pounded this meat. It must be someone with anger mgmt issues. Because it was pounded down so thin THIS caused it to LOOKlike a big piece of meat. ANYTIME the CRUST is THICKER than what's inside you should be eating a pastry. All that is happeninghere is that your eating TWICE the amount of greasy fried crust which can send you to the ER with gallbladder issues. So as Iwas about to feed the rest of my greasy chicken fried steak to the dogs, I lifted up the paper to FIND what I thought was a rawdinner roll. But as I picked it up I realized it was a clump of mashed potatoes. So this is suppose to be a hangout for thelocals to go drink and the seasonal crowd enjoying Lake Whitney. Not your typical resort. No check in or checkout desk. . I checked in at the bar. Wonderful atmosphere in restaurant/bar. Rented... a single bed cabin. It was attached to 2 other cabins (shared a porch) but that wasn't an issue. Cabin was very clean butbathroom is tiny and contains the only sink in the room. Blackout curtains would be a huge plus because the mini blinds allowedthe parking lot lights to illuminate the room. Again, these are just minor things. They apparently have a water park whichisn't open yet, and they are building an awesome castle for events. Too cool to enjoy the pool that was right beside our cabin.We would like to return in warmer weather. Read more
The burger and Monterey chicken we ordered were yummy. The decor was rustic with lots of mounts and memorabilia on the walls. It... had such great potential. However, the slow service, moldy broccoli that was served to me, and high prices deter me fromreturning here again. Read more
