The place to be if you want a view of the sunset over the lake while enjoying a cocktail. They had a surprising selection of... interesting cocktails, like the Nero Margarita with charcoal tequila, and easy Long Island Ice Teas. The food was great too -especially if you want fried apps. My group of girlfriends came here for dinner and drinks, but stayed for the karaoke machine!If you?re determined, this place can turn into a party. We shared shots with friendly locals and danced. Great beachside restaurant up on the second level with fantastic views of Balm Beach and Georgian Bay. Went with the family on... a Saturday afternoon for lunch during our beach day. I had the smoked pulled pork sandwich on a toasted brioche bun withcoleslaw and fries. The meat was excellent, smoked right in-house. We also ordered a burger, chicken Caesar wraps, and chickentenders. All meals were excellent and portion size was just right. I love the wooden cutting boards for plates. Service wasquick and courteous, staff were all friendly and welcoming. There is a good selection of cold beer, both draft and in cans,domestic and craft. They have a nice selection of island-style cocktails and mocktails for the kids. This place is a gem anddefinitely worth a visit when at the beach. We will be back. Read more
WOW! never again (and we live just up the road)....arrived and sat down. after 15 min and watching two tables that arrived after... us get their drink orders taken, I asked the host if someone was able to take our order. when she arrived we ordered drinks andfood to speed up the process. 2 pops, 2 waters....for the next 15 min we watched our server make all kinds of bar drinks forother tables. we finally got our drinks, two with ice, two without and room temp. we waited and waited and waited......we weresat 1st table beside the bar and not once did anyone explain the delay, or say we're really sorry, your food should be upshortly. after about 1 hour the server told us they were out of chicken wings. fine chicken fingers please. figured they were onour order now and it shouldn't be to much longer. watching the table beside us get their food and knowing they ordered at least45 minutes after us was the breaking point. by this time it was nearly 8pm, they had closed their kitchen early and they werenot busy at all. It was busy when we arrived but over 1.5 hours later it wasn't. For the first time in my life, with twostarving kids, we got up and walked out. For the love of god, at least explain to people what the issue is.....its calledcommunication. we had to leave because i would not be able to live with myself paying for whatever they would have ended upbring out and I'd still likely tip the server. I among a group of six visited Balm.beach a few days back. We loved the reviews and the vibe from the beach looked great with... all the hanging lights. Got up and asked for a table for six. The word I heard was No. And then the server said wait a minute.After a few, we got seated outside and were told that it's late night so only late night menu. We all got started with somedrinks and another waitress came in to get our simple food order of three things. We held onto our drinks for about 45 minutesas we enjoyed chatting with each other. The second waitress who took our order walked by saying "did you get your order?". Thenshe returned after a few minutes saying we got a lot of mixups. We ended up cancelling our order and she acted as if she wantedus to cancel it. Trust me when I say this that it felt like first they did not want us there, second didn't want us to order andthird when we did order, didn't want to serve us. It was a warm welcome given by Rachel and Mave, who was in time was a trainee. Great food and music! My sister and I got an...
