Cook the food right in front us, so dinner and a show. Never been to anything like it. Only problem was I order the chicken and... shrimp and the chef forgot to make the shrimp. No big deal, told the waiter and he promptly had my shrimp made in the back. Iwent with a group of people, so it is understandable the chef forgot to make something. I order the chicken and shrimp comboplate. It came with a cup size portion of soup, cup size portion of salad, noodles(can choose rice or noodles), servings ofchicken and shrimp and mixed vegetables. I?m giving it two stars bc the experience was awful. The sushi and sashimi were good. We got there at 7:30, didn?t get sat until... 8:30, then we were put into a dark, weird corner of the far end of the restaurant. Our sushi came out pretty quick and we weredone eating by 9. The rest of our party and our son ordered hibachi. The chef didn?t show up to the table until 9:45. Heapologized and said they only had two chefs, however they failed to disclose this info at the front. Had we known this, we wouldhave gone somewhere else, instead here I am leaving a poor review. This was my first time at Shinto. I was not impressed with the Sashimi sampler. It had octopus, fake crab and some weird fish... cake. The clear soup wasn't too great either. We did enjoy the variety of sushi rolls we sampled however. Read more

The place was full bull well spaced. We were party of 2 and the only 2 waiting to be seated so got seated right away! Served... with drinks quickly. Food was also served quickly! The positives: food is pretty good if you know what to order. Service is really good. Staff is friendly and attentive. The... improvements: decor and dining tables and chairs could be improved. The place needs a renovation considering it's outdated. It'salso packed in pretty tight so tables are a little too close to one another. We were sitting literally right behind the hibachichef and next to another table. Wait time was long but it was expected considering the whole place was packed. A busy restaurantis usually a good sign. The verdict: I recommend it. Food was good and service was great so I'd definitely come back. Maybe at atime when the place isn't super busy. Read more
