While I?ve lived in the Lafayette area for most of my life, it was not until today during a food tour that I?ve tried it out. We... had their king cake with a blueberry filling and it was the best king cake I have ever tried (and as an Acadian, I have triedmany). While we were there, we also had to buy a few of their beautifully decorated cakes and desserts. If you can walk out ofthere without a bag of treats, you have some seriously strong self control. The staff was very friendly and this has become myfavorite bakery. Read more

Ordered a 7 inch black forest cake similar to the one from the portal game.( aka a full brown cake) was completely shell shocked... when I was greeted with a white colored cake. The woman at the register was sweet and understood my concern said thats how theynormally make them, she offered me a 10% discount but when she typed in the price she said they had made a 8 inch ( a ten dollardifference) after all of that they were willing to still work with me. Which I highly appreciated, if you are coming to buyalready pre-made cakes and desserts I highly reccomend, but when it comes to ordering you have to be VERY SPECIFIC. Now I wasstill willing to buy the cake and try it out. With such limited time I didnt have much of a choice. So I bought it and served itat the party. Now I wouldn't have bothered to make a post after all the kindness I received when it came to the pricing, but thetaste of the cake was a completely different matter. After unboxing it I noticed a very definite tilt to the cake. The cherryfilling on the top was 100% out of a can, and there was no cherry liquor anywhere in the cake, which is the biggest point of ablack forest cake. Hence the name. The cake itself tasted like just plain chocolate cake. I could have gotten the same qualityat rouses for the same price. The final straw was that they didn't ask for the color of the frosting, and decided that a greenfont on a red black and white cake was alright. Not to mention the sibling I got it for doesn't know how to read cursive so theentire font was a loss to him. The frosting was tasty if not a bit too much. All in all I wont be ordering a cake from them, butI will be enjoying their amazing pastries. The French cheesecake and tarts are top quality! Read more

Oh my goodness so many delicious desserts to choose from. I loved their macarons, pecan Sandies and fruit tart. My daughter had... a merengue pop that she enjoyed and she loved their cookies. They also have fresh bread you can purchase. We got pumpernickeland something that reminded me of focaccia bread. Also lots of king cake flavors to choose from. They had my daughter's favoritewhich is apple. The almond mice were too sweet for me but everyone's taste is different ????The cashier was nice and patientwhile my daughter picked out various sweets.
