I sat at the bar to watch their anime. I ordered the shrimp shumai, tonkatsu ramen, a rainbow roll, and a matcha milk tea with... brown sugar jellies. The waitress said the ramen broth was simmering for like 8 hrs, she wasn’t sure, then she warned me thatI shouldn’t get the tonkatsu because “it’s not at all spicy”. (Tonkatsu ramen is NOT supposed to be pungent/have heat, did she mean flavor?) then she advised “get the garlic ramen or spicy miso ramen, because they are all made with the samebroth.” The broth’s all the same? The ramen was disappointing for a “ramen bar”. The soft boiled eggs and noodles weregood. The broth was bland, really a let down for a “ramen bar” — not complex. The chasu was so tough, I gave up onit. The rainbow roll had a corrugated imprint to it and was served with a cherry tomato/ parsley—the sushi did not improvefrom there. Cold rice and scant fish. The shrimp shumai tasted frozen. The best thing I tried was the matcha milk tea withjellies. Read more
