This was my first time ordering from Kenny and Lou’s and my experience was a little disappointing. After a long day of work I... decided I wanted sushi for dinner and thought I’d give K&L’s a try. I ordered $80 worth of sushi online since it was an easyway to order and was advised on their website. When I got to the restaurant I noticed that the sushi bar was closed. When Iapproached the counter I let the woman working know that I ordered online, she explained that she tried to call me and left amessage (I never got a missed call or voicemail, but that’s not her fault, cellphone service sucks) She let me know that thesushi chef had left for the day so my order wasn’t able to be completed. She had pulled 3 items out of their cooler that I hadordered but two rolls were missing… she offered me a refund for the missing rolls or I could pick two other items out of theircooler as replacements. I was counting on this order as dinner for both me and my boyfriend so I picked things out of thecooler, unfortunately the options were extremely limited with only three rolls stocked in the cooler. I was too tired from along day off work and generally put off from the experience to double check the prices on the two items I picked out of thecooler, but once I got home I realized they were definitely cheaper than the original rolls I had ordered and paid for. Luckilythe food was very good, but I felt awkward walking in to the restaurant and discovering that the chef had left despite meplacing my order an hour before closing time. I work in the service industry and understanding how complicated online orderingsystems can be, but I think it would be helpful to disable the online ordering function when the chef leaves early. Justgenerally not an $80 experience. Read more

I am amazed at the quality of sushi served at Kenny Lou’s Deli / Button Rock Bakery. The seafood/fish is fresh and the rice is... cooked and seasoned perfectly! There is a variety of creative rolls and the nigiri ???? sushi is outstanding. The last time Iwas there, I ordered the chirashi bowl … a bowl of rice topped with pickled veggies and variety of sashimi pieces. Wow! It wasawesome!\nDo yourself a favor, and check out this surprising little sushi bar in Lafayette! You will enjoy the delicious food! Read more

Button Rock/Kenny Lou\'s is my go-to for sushi. It is beyond excellent and there are quite a few varieties, too. Lots of... gluten-free options as well. Read more
