The view and atmosphere was good and members of my family enjoyed the food and the drinks. That took it to a 3 star for... me. However, my personal food was very bland and I wasn?t thrilled with the for the experience. Additionally, though therestaurant was mostly empty when we were there, it was hard to get refills and the service from the bar was slow as was thearrival of the food. Perhaps it was an off day. It has taken me way too long to write this review, but sharing my experience with MRG in the planning of my baby's 1st birthday,... is a must. From the very beginning, at the inquiry stage, the owner Amy was amazing. Responses were timely, follow-up keen andattention to detail was reassuring. Though I had dined at MRG before, this was my first experience using their catering service.I could not recommend them more! I shared very specific photos of the food set up I wanted, even down to fruit carved out in theshape of an alligator and elephant's head to align with my baby's "Wild One" themed party -- and they nailed it! Even morenotable, the day of the party, Amy's husband Evan and their staff went above and beyond . It unfortunately rained the day of andthey stepped in to help my family bring an outside party inside. They truly took customer service and accommodations to anotherlevel. When businesses offer this kind service and stress-free service, you must appreciate it and not take it for granted. Wife and I took our 2 daughters there on our boat for lunch, 2 burgers 2 salads 1 appetizer and 4 drinks. $228 + tip????? My... wife didn?t tell me until after we had left. No itemized bill???? Omg our waitress Shae was amazing! She made our entire dining experience so smooth and enjoyable. We?ve been in for lunch &... wasn?t too impressed, but decided to give the place another try outside of the height of Covid. The dinner was so good! We willdefinitely be back. Thank you Shae! If I could give 0 stars I would - have tried to support this local business a number of times. Each time has been a... disappointing experience. Greeter/reception at the door seems either annoyed we have shown up or confused when we indicate wehave a reservation. A number of times, despite a number of open tables, are told we need to be gone within a certain amount oftime as we are being seated....how welcoming. Servers are friendly enough, but specials not often described accurately andfood has been hit or miss. The property setting continues to be the best part of the place but despite giving feedback tomanagement and several attempts at support, worth driving off island for better options. Read more
I wanna say if I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. Its a popular place inside of a gated community. It's worth... the drive you won't be distracted. The burger was delicious. Look at those fries they are small so they actually get cooked. Thehushpuppies are good. Hubby said the baked fish was ????. One of my friends is gluten free and almost EVERYTHING on the menu isgluten free. EVEN THE FRIED STUFF. He hasn't been able to eat fried seafood in so long you have NO IDEA how happy he was. Hekept asking to go back there. He also said it'd be worth the 3 and half hour trip back there just to eat here. The server wasgreat. She actually read what we ordered back to us to make it was right. We got to sit outside on the screened in porch. Andthe PRICES. It's so.. cheap for what you get. Go you won't be disappointed. Left full and happy. After dinner you can go walk onthe pier and get a great sunset photo. It was just a great experience all around. We had a party of six and each one of us ordered something different. Food was so good, we all were picking from each other's... plates because of the taste! Our waitress was super helpful and attentive. They have a variety of choices on the menu, includingvegan and vegetarian options. Highly recommend going here.
