This place has great sandwiches at a decent price. The quality of the food isn't the reason for this ding review - its the... attitude of one of its employees. My wife is gluten intolerant. Even a small amount of wheat in her food is debilitating fordays with food-poisoning-like symptoms. Its a serious matter. We were glad to learn that Jersey Mike's offers GF options, andsince they're priced better than Meconi's, its become our go-to. Apparently this GF request requires employees to clean theequipment prior to preparation, per protocol, which is appreciated. We recognize this is difficult and tip accordingly. A fewtimes now the same employee (a heavy guy) has openly guffawed, rolled eyes, huffed, and in general overtly showed his annoyancewhen we've ordered GF for my wife. Today, 5/29 this afternoon was no different. He did the same things: whining, dragging hisfeet, complaining about GF prep out loud in earshot of employees and the line of customers. "Here we go again! Another glutenfree order! Ugh!" Were his words. This he said to my wife who is 38 weeks pregnant with twins. Some fella. Thankfully anotheremployee, a female, stepped in and did the GF prep. Her attitude was immeasurably better. Dude, I get its a chore to clean theequipment, but acting out like that isn't professional or appreciated. We hope next time we visit we are not treated likeunwanted pests. The lady that was working was very welcoming. I have had subs from 2 other location JM....this one was the best sub I've had.... Rosemary bread,Mike's way with jalapeno and banana peppers. I can't remember the sandwich but I chose the one with Turkey,bacon,roast beef. It was the middle size sub and was very good. They sure didn't skimp like subway. I will be back.
