Great place to hang out and eat! Food was a mixed opinion within our group which is why I'll give it four stars. Patty Melt,... amazing. Burger, amazing. Grilled chicken, amazing. I've been here three times and it is always has great tasting Southern comfort food. We have to drive about 25 minutes to get... there but it is well worth the time. At a time when all other restaurants are scaling down the portion sizes and raising prices,the Den stays true to making the same quality of food for the same price! Thier TexMex Chicken Fried Steak is uniquely toppedwith queso, pico de gallo, and jalapeños and it is fantastic! I want to like this place. We keep going back hoping for a different outcome. The patio is such a nice setting. The problem is... food is served cold and stale. I?ve lamented to others I wanna find something edible here and it was suggested I try the cowboynachos. I did so today. WORST nachos ever. Cold, very little cheese and couldn?t find the chili that was supposed to be there.Ridiculous to charge $12 for that awful food. I ate only a few bites and the person clearing the table didn?t mention it. Don?tever order a meal with french fries or sweet potato fries. They?ll be cold and stale. Even when I?ve asked for them to be fresh.The food tastes like it?s reheated frozen food. I could continue with listing all the lousy meals we?ve had here and the manystomach aches caused by same, but I think y?all get the point. Please hire a chef and train some kitchen workers to learn how toserve 2 meals at a table both hot! Read more
