I agree on some of the review here, the picture looks good but the taste is lacking. I always stop here whenever we pass through... town last time we dine here was disappointing . Today thinking I will give them another chance But it never fail. The rice isalways over cooked it?s pasty. The bbq pork liempo was so chewy. I had adobo and sinigang before Walang lasa. I?m here tosupport our fellow kababayan. But I?m not going to sugar coat it. If Hindi pasado ang lasa. The only thing I enjoy here is thehalo halo. This will be my last time dining. Peace ?? This was my first experience eating Filipino food. I had the Pork Sinigang and Halo-Halo. The Pork Sinigang is a sour soup. It... was a unique experience for me for I never ate soup that was sour in my life until this day. I'm not much of a pork-eater butI'll definitely try the soup again. Born and raised in Manila, Luzon ????????... I know what good tasting Philippine cuisine should taste like. I ordered three... different dishes tonight, I was disappointed with all of them. The pork lumpia(for appetizer) was ok... not much taste from thefillings, wrappers used were too thick also. For main dishes, I ordered both lechón kawali(deep fried pork belly) and chickenadobo. The lechón was overly cooked, so it was too crunchy all around and dry also. The chicken adobo was bland and watery. Inphotos, they dishes look delicious... were they? To me, no. Tried this place for the first time and it is AMAZING! Pork belly like this is hard to find and it is the 2nd best I've ever... had. First place belongs to Tansuo but they no longer serve their pork belly dish. It was crispy and well flavored. I also gotthe sisig. OMG! It was the best thing I've ever had! I also tried the flan. I am not a fan of flan at all but I wanted to givetheirs a chance. I still don't like flan. That's not anything negative about their flan. I'm sure a flan lover would love it. We are on a short vacation here in Nashville and thought of trying some Filipino food. I searched and came across MaeMax. The... pictures looked very promising and delicious. So even if it took us an hour drive to get there we still did. I ordered theirsisig, lechon kawali, pansit with lumpia. It was all okay. Why I said it was just okay? It?s because the lechon kawali theyserved was full of fat, sisig was dry (not the sisig i expected that has liver and some pork ears and pork snout) lumpia hadbarely filling in it. How bout the pansit? Nothing special. Not a very good experience for me though. Was just disappointed.On the brighter side, I am not sure if it was the owner who served my orders but she was really nice and friendly. Read more
Ohhh they have very nice halo halo. It was our accidental find. They have quite good selection of Asian groceries as well as... they serve the food to eat there as well. We ordered just halo halo. It was nice with a lot of beans and jelly at the bottom.Next time we surely order lunch or dinner as well there!!!! Read more
I was looking for Filipino food in Nashville and this place did not disappoint! It's a bit further out, but so worth the trip.... Everything was made fresh to order and delicious. I'm still dreaming of the chicken adobo and pork lumpia. Chicken adobo wasfall off the bone good and the pork lumpia... piping hot and crispy.. with the sauce... Oh my goodness.
