This place is an iconic place in downtown La Puente AND makes the BEST pizza locally. I've driven from as far as Glendora just... to get some! Not super greasy like many places and the cheese is so hearty. The owner David gives THE MOST EXCELLENT CUSTOMERSERVICE! There is always a wait as everything is made fresh to order but they are really efficient so it's always prettyfast! If you like Pizza Co pizza then you'll LOVE DOUBLE PLAY because they literally are the only place that I've seen cancompare!!! I will Never order from this place again. Had the worse customer service ever girl on the phone didn't ask my name or address, I... placed a delivery order, an hour later she calls to tell me my order is ready for pickup, when I told her that she didn't askany information about me. It was okay. The pizza is edible but definitely could use more sauce as it was kind of dry. Their menu advertises deep dish... pizza but they don't make deep dish pizza. The person ringing everyone up was sassy -- not to me but everyone else who came in.I guess a guy placed an order over the phone and when she came in scolded him because it wasn't ready and literally told him towait his turn because there are other customers.
