My wife and I happened to see this place on a recent trip and we immediately pulled in. I'm not one to overstate things, but... everything was, in a word, perfect. This is highly flavorful food prepared meticulously and clearly with great love. My wife andI are fans of Jamaican fare and this was good as good as any we've had including in Jamaica. The flavor of the jerk chicken thatI had is still with me today and my wife completely enjoyed her meal as well. My only regret is that it was closed when we werereturning home because of the holiday, and we couldn't have yet another meal there! :-) But we will be back and I can'twait! If you prefer standard restaurant fare you have many options. But if you're looking for something a little different fromwhat you usually get in this area, clearly prepared with love and with making sure the customer has a completely satisfyingexperience, you cannot go wrong with this restaurant and I cannot recommend it highly enough. I travel for food! I have to say that this was the best Caribbean food experience I ever had. I been to plenty of places where... they started out great, but fell off as far as portions and flavor. This place has it all. The greens, Mac, and cabbage wasfantastic. The chopped jerk chicken and curry is a must try. Great service and food portion, and it was fresh. Please stayconsistent!!! Don't let this SMALL place fool you, because it is very BIG on flavor! The staff are very friendly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Cajun... Turkey Wings and the Ox Tail. They are so tender and full of "fall off the bone" flavor ! Read more

First time here. I ordered curry chicken, cabbage with rice and peas for lunch. The food was very delicious and portions size... perfect for the price.(15.75) It?s enough food to feed two people. Posting this review as I leave the establishment. We placed a to-go order at 7:10 pm and was told our food would be 20-25 mins... (ordered 2 jerk chicken dinners and a macaroni & cheese entree). So we decided to wait inside. After checking the status after40 mins of waiting, the food still wasn?t ready. It was a full hour later to receive our food. Side note: it was apparent thatthere were other disgruntled customers who appeared equally frustrated with their wait time as we observed the waiting patrons.The cashier merely handed me the food and not a simple ? I apologize for the wait? was uttered. Clear indication that they?recompletely careless about customer service. If we were to dine-in, an hr wait would still be unacceptable. I?ll go all the wayback to DC to get my Caribbean food with better service. Read more
