Fantastic croissants! Awesome bakery, with some of the best croissants I have had. The almond and the apple hazelnut varieties... were perfection. Buttery, flaky, sweet, crispy in just the right combination. The chocolate chunk, sea salt cookie was alsodelicious. Staff was really friendly and welcoming! Read more

So yummy! Their croissants are SO flaky and perfect! Wish they were a little more attentive to our order though...We ordered 3... different pastries (I even repeated myself 3 times), but the guy handling the pastries ended up giving us the wrong ones. Wedidn't realize it until we were driving away. It all tasted really good so it's not a big deal. Just wish they got our orderright. Read more

I really love Wayfarer bread & pastry croissants! They are the best in town. They also have seasonal items and daily sandwiches... one meat and one vegetarian. I live close by and I often check their website for the daily sandwiches which are really good. Thebread is very tasty, but can be a rugged at times. Overall this is a MUST visit. Read more

Was a bit of a drive from us to get here but we'll worth the drive! Tried three different croissants and they were all awesome!... I would say the best we have had in San Diego. Must try bakery in SD! Only negative there is not much space to sit. Theyhave a decent outdoor area but no tables or chairs just a few benches.... why ? Let the people enjoy the croissants on site :) Read more

One of the most amazing bakeries I have been too. Their products are extremely fresh and very tasty. They have a huge assortment... of croissants and other breads. We tried the plum hazelnut, chocolate and the savory croissants. They were amazing all of them.I have also heard their almond croissant is great, but it was done by the time I got there. Definitely recommend this place! Read more

Excellent bakery, maybe the best of the San Diego area if you like French style pastries. Their chocolate croissants are really... really good, and they also serve excellent coffee. There?s often a line and it?s always worth the wait. Also, their pre madesandwiches are totally worth it. Read more

I was absolutely amazed by the pastries at Wayfarer. The owner trained at Tartine in San Francisco and definitely knows their... stuff. Wayfarer offers world-class level baked goods like you would find in San Francisco, New York City, or Europe. Everythingwas amazing, but we especially loved the apple hazelnut croissant, kouign amann, and cranberry scone. Every flavor was unique, the laminated dough was flakey but so soft that it would melt in your mouth, and the kouign amann had a caramelized crunch.Pro-tip: if you go after 11 they serve sandwiches on their house bread (one veggie sandwich and one meat sandwich per day) andtheir sandwiches are absolutely to die for as well. Cannot recommend highly enough. Read more
