I have had dinner here several times; it is great to have this restaurant in the neighborhood! Food is healthy and quite... generous. Love it! Unlike Chipotle where you'll see trash on the floor and dirty tables ANY time of day, here staff stays on topof keeping it CLEAN and making it feel like your kitchen! I love the Kebab Shop generally but this location was sub par for me tonight. This was mostly because the fries were slightly... undercooked and hence soft instead of crispy. My grilled chicken also was on the border of undercooked as well. The food wasdelivered faster than any other location but maybe that was why. Read more
The staff was friendly and there is a good variety of meal choices. If your looking for a quick bite, that isn't fast food, this... is a good place to stop. The reason for the four stars is because the condiment and drink area as well as the dining area was abit unkept and in need of a good cleaning. We visited at a time when there was a lull in customers. The cashier was standingaround between customers, providing an opportunity to clean up. They did not appear to be short staffed. The meal we orderedwas served fresh and hot. The portions served were big, enough to share if your looking for a small bite to eat. The food wasgood, but not very flavorful. For supporting Ukrian and peace, I decided to have a lunch at Ukrainian restaurant. I found The Kebab Shop by searching... Ukrainian restaurant near La Jolla. Actually, it is a Mediterranean one instead of Ukrainian. Anyway, I am still againstRussia's invasion. First of all, thumb up for the garlic yogurt and cilantro dipping which at the self-service table. Especiallythe cilantro one, not to strong smell but good taste. For the food, I ordered a box with extra beef. The portion was too small,I couldn't believe this box had already added extra and cost almost $18. The salad was good, especially with the cucumber was agood idea. The fries were also good, crispy, and not too hard. But the beef was horrible, it was thin and the texture made youthink it's fake meat. The beef was too salt and too oily. Now I understand why the portion was that small, otherwise, it willbe too salty to eat. The set was too small and I had to buy another one from the Padadak next door to feed myself.
