Lovely atmosphere and the seating is very comfortable. Plant life speckles the room for a relaxing experience. The tree cover... outside makes it feel very pleasantly isolated from the busy streets. My favorite, must-do dish is the Acai Bowl. It's smoothsorbet, decked out with a delectable arrangement of berries, bananas, and kiwi, topped with a light honey that doesnt overpowerthe flavor or texture of the rest of the dish. The food was decent and not worth the price. If you do decide to dine here in the late morning or early afternoon I recommend... eating here as more of a convenience; even then you may be better off eating elsewhere as service was very slow for us. First time in this place and it was a great experience. Went on a week night and place was pretty much open. Of course to be... safe, we called first if there was a wait time. We were seated right away and the menu selections offered a good variety ofseafood, salads, pasta and steak. Very nice atmosphere, soft lighting, quiet so conducive to conversations. Of course it was notat all crowded. May be a different atmosphere on a weekend. Will definitely come back if we find our way back to La Jolla soon. Read more
Small restaurant in the Sheraton. Had the ribeye and filet migon. Both were cooked really well. Service was wonderful.
Stayed at Sheraton and decided to check out the restaurant. The food was excellent. The prices were surprisingly very... reasonable. Good selection of entrees. Did I mention the food was great. The service was pleasantly wonderful. I ordered theLamb chops and my fiancee enjoyed the Halibut, Macadamia encrusted. Dessert was Butterscotch custard. Highly recommend. The food was amazing and really reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. Usually, a $35 steak might still leave one... hungry, but it was way too much to eat! There's a wide variety of seafood, cuts of meat, etc. The calamari was quite good, butit wasn't the normal rings, rather long strips (that were cooked to perfection, not soggy at all like they usually are.) 10/10would recommend. We stayed at the Sheraton and while my husband was out at a business meeting I took my children there for lunch. The staff was... friendly and everything was very clean. My 6 year old ate a chicken Caesar salad and my 4 year old had grilled cheese withFrench fries. My choice was the fish tacos and they were really good. We ended up getting desert too! Our waiter was great but man the food was not. We ordered salmon and asparagus which was grilled well, almost perfectly but it... was drenched in hoisin sauce. Our risotto was cooked well but was so salty I couldn?t eat it. So even though the food was cookedwell, it was seasoned badly. Read more
