Do yourself a big favor. Eat here ASAP. Martin is a great chef, genius, vegan and GF local produce and absolutely stunning food... NOT to mention he is totally environmentally friendly. Prices are amazing for the quality and care that goes into his food. Theplace is cute and has natural lights and plants around. This is a one of a kind restaurant experience. Read more

Green Door Cafe is such a vibe! It?s an alley in the wall cafe with tons of greenery and cute vibes to match. We tried the... French toast and a flatbread. The French toast (while small) was absolutely packed with flavor! I highly recommend giving it atry! On the other hand, the flatbread wasn?t for me. Next time I?ll definitely try something else ? there?s so many veganoptions to choose from! Read more

Honestly, we loved the atmosphere and the service more than the food. Tucked in a small courtyard, this cozy place is enhanced... with planter pots, and relaxing live guitar tunes. Portion sizes are just right, no food waste or doggy bags. The service ladyaccommodated our little late request even though it was our fault. Overall, a lovely place to have your breakfast or lunch, compared to other overcrowded places. Read more

Cosy dining experience with a great vegan menu, definitely a place we'd come back to. Warm and friendly staff. We had Bombay... bomb burger, the penne and chocolate cake all of which were good. Getting a parking spot Sunday evening was not difficult. Read more

Visiting from out of state so wanted to check a local vegan spot, this place did not disappoint. Went on a Sunday evening and... wasn't busy or crowded. Service was perfect and knowledgeable to recommend a few things. We tried the Buddha bowl, artisan pestopizza, and the pumpkin late. The Buddha bowl was filling tasty dish, what I expected from it. The artisan Pesto pizza was myfavorite from the evening. The sauces worked well together, and the crust was the perfect amount of crispy but just enough tomake it toasted. The pumpkin Pate was a delightful little snack, very smooth and creamy. Overall a great dining experience withgood food. Happy I stopped in. Read more

Delicious vegan food in a cozy atmosphere! The staff was friendly, and there were so many tasty-sounding dishes, it was hard to... pick one. I went with the lasagne, which I have absolutely zero regrets over choosing as my entree. Will definitely visit againif I ever find myself in La Jolla in the future. Read more

I'm not going to lie, we had extremely high hopes for this place with the high google rating and it being vegan... BUT! It... seemed like all the food (even the Mac and cheese) was seasoned with Mexican spices. The Mac and cheese was just as sour as alemon and quite bitter (none of the creamy buttery deliciousness you look forward to) the tomato soup had unshelled pumpkinseeds that couldn't be eaten, and the jackfruit tacos were soft and overpowered again by a sour sauce, missing some jalapeno orsomething like that. Taste wise this place deserves a 1 star. They opened up an hour and a half late, and then the food wasterrible. The atmosphere was okay, and the service nice but slow. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 from me isbecause they're vegan and gluten free... Sorry, maybe the chef needs to try some non-vegan food before trying to copy things weknow and love, or not copy those things and instead do already vegan food like curries or Buddha bowls.
