Best French toast I’ve ever had!!! My husband and I met up with friends at this spot in La Jolla, and boy was it a pleasant... surprise! We were unsure of how tasty it would be being inside of a hotel…but hands down the French toast was literally out ofthis world. We loved the scenic views, the friendly wait staff, and the tasty food. Anniversary dinner. Made reservations. Amazing view, service, food. Each of us had a cocktail. Also had the ceviche (with sweet... potatoes, so unexpected and so good) and heirloom tomatoes for appetizers. Did a fish dish ( sea bass) and rib eye dinner (surfand turf). Both cooked to perfection and the accompanied veggies and sauces gave layers of flavor to the meal. Perfect datenight spot. Very impressive. Read more

The menu is a little bit narrow but has enough stuff. Prices are reasonable for breakfast, especially if you're staying here and... have a diamond level credit. I hear this place is pumping in the evenings. Read more

I was raised in La Jolla so when I decided to visit town from Los Angeles to see some old friends we decided on Cusp due to the... fact it has amazing food, unbeatable views, and is a hidden gem in my opinion. I have been here many times over the years andevery time I have a great meal. I always order the fish entrée as it’s always cooked perfectly, but every other thing I haveseen ordered also gets great reviews. They are currently doing work on the façade of the front so the views are a littleobstructed by construction equipment but still La Jolla is beautiful enough it makes up for it. Our server was also very politeand attentive and was quick with the refills. I started off with the baby beet salad and really enjoyed it. It was light and agreat start to the meal. The whipped goat cheese on the bottom was definitely my favorite part. For my entrée I chose the fishof the day which was a Seabass. Seabass is my personal favorite fish and I was glad to see that this one is cooked well andtasted delicious. This is a true hidden gem to me because most diners go toward the Cove area of La Jolla rather than theShores so this would make a wonderful date or casual dinner option. It’s a bit small for a work dinner but aside from that Iam comfortable recommending it to anyone for any occasion. They offer valet parking for the hotel, but there is a ton of streetparking next to it so the parking side of things will be easy. Read more

Huge disappointment. The grilled octopus was supposed to have Spanish chorizo and it was missing that main ingredient. I was... asked about it and when I told our waiter that it was missing the chorizo the kitchen sent three tinny slices on a coffee saucerafter we were almost done eating. The brussels sprouts had been fried in the same oil as the french fries and the octopus it wasterrible and had burned pieces of fries mixed in. Don't order a drink, the simple martini I ordered was not even close to acheap drink. i don't even think there is a chef there anymore, it is an overpriced place with a view. Read more
