If you're willing to be stubborn and wait out other orders, totally worth it! Even if you're not a fan of pizzas with cracker... style crust (bar pizza), you will be surprised. A 16" single topping pizza is more than filling. South Lanes doesn't skimp onthe sides. You will get more than enough cheese curds or garlic bread. Everything was hot, fresh, and made with qualityingredients. The pizza sauce is fantastic. Sad thing is that it's a longwait....................................................................................................................................................................... I decided to order from here on a whim as I like to support local businesses & it's really close to me. My parents visited for a... few days from Florida & we all love pizza so I thought I'd give it a try. They really liked their pizza & my wife & I likedours. We had the Taco Supreme & it was loaded with toppings. My only complaint was the crust had been a bit burnt but not enoughso that it took away from the experience. I've heard some really good things about south lanes pizza so I had a friend pick up an uncooked takeout pizza and deliver it to... me in Milwaukee! Instructions were very easy on how to cook it. When I tasted the pizza I was not disappointed in the least bitand it was so good! Tasted just like the old south lanes. When I go back to La Crosse for a visit I'm definitely stopping in forsome more! Read more
Horrible service, took an 1:20 mins to get food when they said 30 to 35 mins. Got there they went to check on the food came out... never told me how long, sat at the bar never got asked if I wanted a drink even though I was there for 40 mins. We usually lovethe food and figured it would be worth the wait and it was awful. Pizza completely burnt, Buffalo wings sauce was like water soit was like eating plain wings. I was really disappointed. I would retrain everyone that was on that night. Way to long and wayto much money to get that as a result. I can understand being new or going through training everyone's been there, but if theyare getting swamped a manager should come help. First time trying their pizza. I ordered an unbaked pizza. Crust was literally paper thin and was sagging through the oven... rack. Ended up having to scrap it out of the oven and throw it away. The photo was just the beginning. Toppings were falling offboth sides. Paper thin dough tore and was unable to save it. Worst experience ever. Will stick with my usual Pizza King. Read more
Visiting my parents and drove by South Lanes Pizza. I remembered the bowling alley growing up and thought, ?hey, if the pizza... was good enough to start a separate business, it can?t be half bad.? We tried it tonight and it was the best pizza I?ve had in aVERY long time. SOOOOOO good! Then I was going to go find ice cream and lo and behold they just started selling ?The Pearl?! Notice the time order was placed on receipt 4:53 the time we received pizza 6:40. Notice the size on receipt for drinks on... receipt look what size I got an 8oz drink. The cashier person kept asking if the order was paid for about 3 times. By the 4timehe said they just made it and are just now putting it in the oven. If there is a ticket to the order he should of 1 looked at itor 2 talked to someone who would know instead of implying we didn?t pay for it. We both waited in our car for the pizza. We donot go out much for restaurant food because of covid. When we got the pizza there was a permanent marker in our pizza box. Forus a 28.00 pizza is something we do not get often. Instead of customer service to make the wait easier it was accusing questionsof the pizza was it paid for. The pizza itself when we finally got it was hot, crust crispy, the sauce was good, cheese was alittle more brown then I liked but not bad. We have 2 pizza places we do like but wanted to try this place. The wait is to longwhich would of been tolerated if there was acknowledgment of the mistake we probably won?t come back. In response to the sodacomment. The soda was not 16oz. It was a small cup. I was close with my cell phone so there is photo distortion. 2 hours isexcessive when waiting for pizza. There was no acknowledgment that the order existed. It cost money to go out and this makes itdiscouraging. I went to a restaurant on Saturday and I was able to give 5 stars because the food and service was good evenhaving to wait extra. Got the pizza of the month, Spicy Meateater, it was amazing!! Each of the 4... 5 (?) meats on it were really good quality and... the spice was just right. ???? ???? ???? Surprisingly good drink selection. Staff were all very kind and welcoming. It was superquick for a Friday night too! Read more
