Delightful experience overall. My only regret is I couldn't finish everything. You will see when you look over at what everyone... else is ordering and want that, too! Today I went for brunch and returned home not wanting to eat anything else happily. Allthe dishes were perfectly seasoned and well timed. The staff were fantastic and attentive. Food was incredible, you can taste the freshness of the ingredients as if they were just picked. Cocktails were more creative... than I was anticipating. And the view was spectacular as well. I loved they had covered outdoor dining and you could watch theboats go by. I was expecting this restaurant to be good and it was even better than I imagined. Can't wait to come back! Read more
I?ve been coming here on and off for a few years. The food is always delicious. They source a lot of their ingredients locally,... from veggies to the meats. It?s always good idea to make a reservation ahead of time, especially if you want to request a tableby the window. They have outdoor seating in the patio, located right on the boardwalk along the channel. The steak was cooked toorder (medium rare). They switch out the vegetables seasonally to keep things fresh. The menu has a good selection of seafoodand meats. For dessert, the Panne Cotta is my favorite. It?s always topped with a seasonal berry. Parking in front can betricky, very small lots. For those that know me, I judge every restaurant I go to by their fish and chips. Even high end restaurants like Nell Thorn... shall be no different! I started off with the Halibut and got a side of the truffle fries. The halibut had a nice sear on oneside and was cooked perfectly. The fish by itself was delicious with a great presentation. The truffle fries (cooked in truffleoil) were great and the sauce they brought with it paired beautifully. The other dish we got was a fantastic morel pasta dish.Need I say more? Well worth it. For dessert we had the cheesecake. It came with a generous amount of whipped cream on top andhad a very professional presentation. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. If you have never been, it?s well worth yourstop if you are looking for a fancy meal. Also of note, they don?t have a kids menu but will create something for you such asbuttered noodles paired with grilled chicken or other options. LaConnor is such a cozy town and Nell Thorn followed suit with an elegant flair. The full, fresh flavors made every bite... delightful, especially when it came to the rich bolognese and the beautifully spiced carrot cake (with a perfectly velvetytexture!). The staff was so nice and the food was amazing. They make their own pasta and they pair it well with the sauces. The bartender... shakes drinks perfectly, not watery, not super sharp. This is the best meal I've had in at least a year. Read more
Great service, friendly faces all around! Amazing locally sourced farm to table food. The NY Strip had a wonderful flavor that I... could taste in every bite, mashed potatoes were very flavorful along with the veggies! Plus wine and cocktails to match theperfect meal. Great atmosphere, calming and relaxing music that was just the right volume! Temperature inside is nice and warmin the winter and cool and refreshing in the summer! Recommend anytime of year!
