Been there twice now and wanted to give a new place a try. Good: Food was tasty, atmosphere was nice, clean restaurant, burrito... was tasty and large portion. Bad: Street tacos are WAY overpriced( see picture of 2 shrimp on a taco and best portion on allthe tacos was the carnitas), parking is scarce, voicing opinion of portions on tacos to bartender didn?t seem to matter and nomanger was alerted, and chips and salsa is $3 Overall: I would give them a C and probably would only go there once or twice ayear instead of weekly. Reason: Not enough bang for the buck and staff needs to pick up their game and alert mangers to lessthan satisfactory service when told about it. Read more
I have recently changed neighborhoods in Knoxville and was pleasantly surprised to find Zalate Taqueria. Mexican favorites with... a fresh presentation I have now enjoyed several items from the menu and I can honestly say that not one of themdisappointed The flan is my guilty pleasure if you love flan you should definitely try theirs Read more
Different than most Mexican restaurants. I liked it. Upbeat, modern with great drinks. A little pricey on their drinks. But the... fish tacos were to die for. Had a steak one also and lived it. The pork belly quesadilla was delicious and their home made salsakicked butt. Friendly service and collectable glasses for 5 bucks. The presidente margarita was delicious! I will be back on myfavorite list now. Parking is scarce but seating is plentiful. Read more
I found this new Mexican restaurant recently near to where we live. I tried their specialty, Margaritas and must say that they... are exceptionally good and very different. Fantastic ALL the way around. Atmosphere very eclectic, bathrooms are very clean thank you! Great variety of menu everything... is fresh! Love the cocktail menu something for everyone! Outside patio area lots of seating and it is dog friendly! Fun factsin the summer great shots and ring the tequila Bell! Prices are worth the visit definitely fun for groups and parties, just askfor Juanito he is A+ thank you! I haven't even paid the check but everything was so good I didn't want to wait to post my review. Service was fast and friendly,... and they had plenty of staff to tend to the 3 tables that all came in at once and the next 3 tables that came in shortly afterall had their drinks within minutes of the first wave of us. We ordered shrimp taco, fish taco, fries, street corn (comes in abowl, so much easier to eat!), and nachos (I substituted chicken instead of pork). Everything was brought out in less than 10minutes, hot, fresh and properly cooked. Delicious! Husband isn't picky but I am and my nachos had a good amount of topping(not too many naked chips), the chips were nice and crunchy with good salting and the chicken was as good as I would cook athome. Finished with their homemade flan and it was to die for, very authentic! Absolutely will be back and will be telling allof out friends too. This place is a great find and so close to my house! The Zendejas family have done it again with a great restaurant, with... fantastic food, good ambiance, and good people. The tacos are legit Mexican street tacos, the cheese dip is addicting, theburritos are big and hot, and the desserts are delicious. My new addiction is the pork belly, amazing! First off street corn was amazing!! Taco shells were very good, I got steak and it was a little dry. Horchata was good but I... have had better. One thing i did not care for is if you want extra toppings on your taco you have to pay for it. The onlytopping you get is onion and cilantro. I will definitely try this place again and sit down, I got my food to go. Read more
