Loved visiting this gem with friends when we went to Tennessee. The food was really good, but if you aren't eating spicy, it... lacked a little flavor. People were great, atmosphere was as well. They're decently priced too. Read more

Delicious! This place executes southern food so well. My shrimp and grits were wonderfully seasoned but not overpowering. The... meatloaf was very flavorful and their brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy and with the right amount of salt and olive oil. It’s a perfect lunch place in the very heart of Knoxville. We’ll definitely go back for more, hopefully soon. Read more

Fine "Southern" dining!! This is a must stop if you are anywhere near Knoxville. Service is great and the fried chicken is... moist, well breaded and perfecty prepared. Fried green tomatoes are served over cheese grits and are amazing. The friedcauliflower is the best I have ever tasted. Read more

I would highly recommend getting reservations (which is simple on something like OpenTable) because it was very busy on the... weekend. The restaurant is on a great corner of Market Street with plenty of outdoor seating but the inside has a fantasticatmosphere. I would definitely recommend the biscuits as an appetizer. They were huge, fall apart, and fantastic with theaccompanied blueberry jam. I had the mac-n-cheese waffle with hot chicken. Normally such an extravagant dish would beexcessively overloaded but here it was a reasonable portion that wasn't overwhelming. The chicken wasn't --spicy-- but hadenough heat to be flavorful. The Cobb salad was also an excellent choice and I would definitely recommend their garlicky ranch! Read more

Oh man! This is the second time I've been to a Tupelo, first time in Knox. Their Mac and cheese waffle (yeah a waffle with Mac... made insideee!!) with spicy fried chicken on it. SO GOOD. Their pulled pork Benny is also excellent. Coffee is super underroasted though, only down side. But lots of people like it that way these days. They're wrong, but is what it is. Patio iscomfortable with heaters. Service is on point. Go here, you won't regret it! Read more

Like Thanksgiving dinner without the drama. Absolutely incredible. The pork shoulder melts in your mouth and the sweet potato... casserole stole the show. Their house margarita is made from scratch and is the perfect amount of lightness and sweet heat.Despite being crowded, it only took 20 minutes for my food to show up. Caitlyn was a kind and personable server who kept guestsengaged. Read more

Sweet, friendly service. Easy reservations online. Delicious food. People watching on market Square. What more could you ask... for? Did I forget to mention the hotel it's attached to used to be a speakeasy during prohibition and still has the bar hiddenbehind a movable wall? Try the Honey Siracha Chicken and Waffles. Read more
