We visited The Oak Room on Saturday night. It's got a cool ambiance in there with all of the oak barrels lining the walls and... defining the spaces. Our group had one side to our selves. They have an extensive drink menu. The mai tai I had was good. Myhusband really enjoyed the Old Forester flight that he ordered. The cheese boards were delicious. What a cool place! I loved my first visit to The Oak Room. Cool vibe, awesome decor, attentive service, good food, cold beer,... crafted cocktails. A great place for a casual date night or to hang with friends. I would even come alone! Tonight I had theSalad and Mexican lager beet on tap. Both were great. I took a sip of a couple different margarita creations, which were alsogood. There?s a lot more to try, so I?ll be back. If I *had* to dig for a criticism, it would be the paper-plating of the food.Everything in the place had an upscale vibe except the paper plates and plastic forks. That said, the food was de-lish. First time here with friends. It was fun sitting at a table surrounded by barrels. We each got different drinks, and all of them... were good and well made. The bartender stopped by to see how we liked the drinks. Ordered the chicken sandwich on a toasted rollwhich was excellent! Everyone else enjoyed the sandwiches and flatbread pizzas. The menu is limited but with quality choices.This place is a winner, and I look forward to going back. Read more
Shoot! This place gets a bonus 6th star! ?????????? You CAN?T not like this place! Food is outstanding! There is a drink for... EVERYONE on this menu. Service is friendly and fantastic! Oh and the atmosphere sets up the best vibe! I had the sour flight andapple walnut fontina flatbread and WOW to both! Everything here was so delicious. I got the ginger kombucha which I loved and hubby got the cinnamon stout which I also liked... even though I never like stouts. This place is a Knoxville gem. I highly recommend. The oak room board was the best I?ve had andthe monthly special, bahn mi, was so delicious. The flavors were perfect. I find it hard to find quality, unique, yummy placeshere after living close to DC, but this place hit the spot for sure. Read more
All good things to say about this establishment. This was our first time visiting and everything was explained to us about the... light and dark beer selections. The charcuterie board was very filling with an awesome meats and cheeses. The music just setthe tone for our experience. We love the friendly staff and the layout of the place. Fun place to hang out for the evening. The Beer flight was fairly priced for the variety you get, and I really enjoyed most of... the beers they have. We also ordered some flatbreads that frankly punch above their weight: excellently baked, delicious flavorcombinations, and good presentation that ?classed-up? the venue. Would definitely return.
