5+???? The Brisket is so smoky and moist it doesn't need any sauce! Their take on the collard greens with Black eyed peas and... butter beans mixed in is fantastic. The banana pudding, some of the best. Mac and cheese, also good! All in all, a veryauthentic soulful meal. They have glass bottle Cheerwine! That adds a star right there! The restaurant is clean and the tables are nice. Service wasn't... bad and the brisket was good. The thick sauce is very good, but I didn't like the other sauces. I got the BBQ burrito which ispretty unique and was delicious. The pinto beans were very bland. Reminds me of eating just straight up boiled beans with mydaughter when she was 6 months old. Overall it was very good. 3 people 3 meals 2 drinks right at $60. Decided to stop at this place and get a meal. Talk about a good choice. Got the sample with pulled pork, Mac and cheese, greens,... and tater salad and banana pudding for desert. Everything was just amazing. The greens are to die for. The tater salad is uniquecompared to almost every other place I've had tater salad. All if the meats perfectly done. Well worth it. Read more

Went to Sweet P's for lunch in downtown Knoxville Saturday. Parking in the city lot is free on the weekends. This place has the... appearance of a hole in the wall place but is actually very nice on the inside. The booths are repurposed church pews. My girlgot a $3 mimosa and I got a beer that was finished in a bourbon barrel. Really nice bourbon flavor and kinda strong. I gotpulled pork that was perfectly smoked. Smoked mac & cheese that was outstanding. Cheesey and smokey. Also got a very freshcoleslaw that was kinda sweet. Chelsea got a half BBQ chicken that she picked down to a skeleton. I know she enjoyed it. Theyshake a dry spice concoction on it I enjoyed it very much. I typically don't care for it but this was really good. She got themac & cheese as well and potato salad. They have three sauces on the table. I used the ketchup based which was different butextremely good. Not a sauce that I'm used to but found it to be very enjoyable. For dessert the best damn banana pudding youwould ever want. Kind of a small portion on the banana pudding. It was so good I wanted more. This is a cool place. We both had the brisket... that came with a rub down seasoning ???????????? it was not good it was served cold ???????????????? yuk .The slaw was ok on thefence if it was home-made or not?? The beans and green beans tasted as if they came out of a can ???????????????????? Down tothe mac and cheese ???????????? if you like hard cheese and cold food this is the place for you ????????????????????the pricefor 2 was about 50 bucks for sub par food. I was really excited to try Sweet P's when I came to visit Knoxville based on positive reviews I saw on YouTube and other... platforms. Maybe my expectations were set too high, but I was a bit underwhelmed. We had the BBQ sampler plate. The smokedchicken was tender, but I was disappointed by the ribs which were rather dry. Great BBQ. I just ordered a regular BBQ sandwich with two sides of macaroni & cheese, but it was great. You order up front at... the counter and they put it on a tray for you and you take it over to the register to pay and then go find a seat.
