Hands down best customer service and sandwiches in town. The owner/manager is such a delight. Even when they have lines out the... door she handles it so smooth. The 3 sandwich ladies are always there never seem to have a bad day. Always smiling and makingsure to be polite to everyone During the week at lunch time it can be a little extreme, but why wouldn’t it be!?! Try to getthere early on Saturdays. They sometimes run out of bread from all the business they get!!! If you haven’t been I alwaysrecommend the chicken bacon ranch with the tiger sauce. Loaded baked potato salad and a lemonade! I have been here several times and the sandwiches are amazing. However, I am leaving a 1-star review after hearing how a friend... was treated today at this establishment. A few days ago , she left an honest review, giving Steamboat 3-stars, stating thesandwiches were excellent but the service is slow. For a sandwich shop, particularly catering to customers who are visiting ontheir lunch hour, efficiency should be a priority so customers can get back to work and feel like they have time to enjoy theirdelicious sandwich. While this is a small business (franchised but owned by local individuals), I understand staffing issues aredifficult with the current labor shortage and the help is not always there. However, an hour long wait for one sandwich isunacceptable. I believe three stars, because a customer loved the sandwiches but did not have expedient services, is a fairreview. Having not had a great experience the first time, my friend decided to give Steamboat another try, again because sheloved the sandwiches. In order to make sure she did not have to wait, she ordered ahead online. When she arrived to pick up hersandwich today, the manager told her she would give her the sandwich that she ordered, but that she was no longer allowed to beserved at Steamboat because of her review. The employee then proceeded to berate her in the store and follow her outside partialway to her car. The employee stated that my friend should be more understanding and a three star review really hurts theirbusiness. The employee proceeded to raise her voice at my friend, telling her to never come back. I didn’t know it was evenpossible to get banned from a sandwich shop haha? First of all, the employee showed a real lack of tactfulness and conflictresolution in this situation. A customer, who had a decent experience their first time was coming in your establishment, to giveyou money and your business a second chance, and you ban them? Holy Cow!! These sandwiches are incredible! The bread is like pillows and made fresh! The selection is great and the service is... even better. I asked them to heat up my sandwich for me (I like warm meat) and they made sure to do it before they put the Mayo,lettuce, and tomato on there because who wants salmonella? Nice sandwich shop tucked away not far from Interstate 40. It was our first visit, and we chose a whole sandwich instead of a... half sandwich. The whole sandwich provides enough food for a second meal or you can order one whole and split it between twopeople. Next time we’ll know to go with a half sandwich. We ordered the Steamboat and the Club sandwiches. Both weredelicious! Both sandwiches were served cold; I’m not sure if they serve heated sandwiches or not. We also ordered a side ofpotato salad. I prefer more mustard in my potato salad, however that’s a personal preference. The staff were friendly andcourteous which is always an added perk. They have inside dining or you can eat outside. First time and I will be back for sure:) Italian sandwich was insanely good as was the chicken ranch. Depending on how hungry... you are, I would recommend ordering a half sandwich cause it’s a ton of food or 2 people could split a full. I ordered thefull and had lunch for the next day. This is for sure my favorite spot for a sandwich in Knoxville, nowhere comes close. Staffwas friendly as well which is always a plus. There is lots of indoor/outdoor seating so what more could ya ask for. Read more

Wonderful sandwiches and great service!! So glad to have a great sandwich page around the corner! 12/9 I showed up close to... closing to pick up an online order and they were so exceptionally kind and friendly.
