The food was fresh, many options. The bar was clean and inviting. I had absolutely no problems with any of the food or even... cleanliness. I give props to how neat, sanitized, and even the restrooms were to my up most thoughts. I was able to use thebathroom, wash my hands, and even eat without one negative thought. I enjoyed eating there, for most part the staff was even ????. I have always loved this restaurant. I hope to see it continue to thrive as it has in the past. Read more

My waitress was amazing. The manager on the other hand was horrible!! My debit card didn't go through at first and she said can... I see your card again? I POLITELY said let me check my bank app just to make sure it didn't go through on my side. THE MANAGERPROCEEDED TO SHOVE THE RECEIPT IN MY FACE! All I wanted to do was double check. My wife and I went to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown Kentucky. After our visit there I drove down to Knoxville and decided to... get a room for the night because I was very tired. The next morning was Sunday. We went to Shoney's and got the breakfast bar.It was really good. The staff was super friendly. The food was fresh (salad, spinach, cucumber). The potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad was good although the potato salad... tasted different. The chicken wings were delicious (I think they were Buffalo wings) and the fried chicken was yummy. Thegravy on my potato tasted off (bitter). I didn't like the broccoli and cheddar soup. The cottage cheese was bland-no taste. . Iordered sweet tea. I asked for lemon wedges but they didn't have any so they offered lemon juice instead. They brought my tea.The sweet tea was weak so I exchanged it for a Sprite. I also tried the lemon juice but it was awful tasting- not acid tastingbut yuck! The waitress was nice but she seemed tired. My wife and I arived about 20 minutes before closing and the bar looked fresh and tasted great. Our waitress Becky took... excellent care of us and when we ordered baked potatoes she let us know that we could have them with the buffet at no charge. Welove Shoney but this one is by far the best for service and food . We will be stopping every time we are in Knoxville. Read more
