I stopped in randomly with a part of 4 recently. It was really busy and I could tell that most likely we would not be able to... get seated. The owners daughter sat us. She was very accommodating getting us a table on a busy night. I ordered a fillet thatwas comparable and cooked to the way my favorite restaurants in Atlanta make them. My girlfriend who doesn?t drink had her drinkfilled at all times. Our waitress Jessica was so friendly. I?d highly recommend anyone who is visiting Knoxville looking for anold school Italian to stop here. We will be back with reservations to make easier on the staff. Read more
I stopped in on a whim at a slow time. The lady proprietors invited me in and fixed a wonderful bowl of soup. I?ve since... forgotten which one but, I am certain that their entire faire is worthy of praise on the highest. The dining room is cozy and isBring Your Own Bottle of wine. There are sheers separating the booth and tables. Very nice atmosphere. The hours are prime timeand reservations are suggested. Poor service. We were third group waiting to be seated. After first two were seated hostess disappeared. She started making... salads and taking orders. After 15 minutes past our reservation time with others waiting behind us i informed hostess we wereleaving. As we departed she started to seat those behind us. Never try there again Read more
I?m so disappointed with this restaurant. This is the second time we?ve been here and unfortunately the last. This first time... was good. Our only complaint would have been the cleanliness of the restaurant. It?s very dirty. This time we ordered thecalamari and garlic bread to start which wasn?t bad. My husband ordered the scallops piccata. It wasn?t bad either but for$40.00 for three scallops and some pasta it should be fantastic. Myself and my son ordered the lobster raviolis. The Alfredosauce was gritty because there was too much grated Parmesan cheese. I couldn?t eat it. The taste wasn?t right at all. My sonalso took one bite of his ravioli?s and that was it. Great Italian restaurant! Best to make reservations!!!!! Had the Mama Savellis chicken, great wine sauce, great flavor! The... sampler with a great homemade marinara sauce. Basket of garlic bread. And the lemon Italian cream cake ????, so good!! The sweettea has fresh mint added to it, the best tea! We would definitely come back! Read more
I don't understand why other people that have left reviews like they're Gordon Ramsay or something special but EVERYTHING we had... was Amazing! I had a greek salad & Mama Savelli's chicken with artichokes and sundried tomatoes with white wine sauce. My partyshared a bruschetta and the taste of Italy. Everyone enjoyed everything tremendously. Sometimes in life you find yourself in a small local restaurant and you get blown away. Tonight was one of those moments for me.... I was invited to a dinner with friends at Savellis. I read the other reviews and was skeptical. I was going to go 4 stars atfirst but then we got desert. So first off, the service was phenomenal. The food was incredible and the desert was off thecharts delicious. All around fantastic experience. My only issue was the parking. However, this is not the restaurants fault.They are in a growing area and land locked by businesses. I eventually found a spot street side and it was acceptable. This isan upper scale (price wise) location but the atmosphere and food is worth it. Highly recommended. Read more
My husband & I were just there celebrating our Anniversary in Knoxville. I was in the mood for Italian food, so we decided to... give Savelli's a try. We LOVED it! I enjoyed how they created intimate tables. The waitress was very sweet and kind. The foodwas tasty and Oh My the bread pudding dessert was out of this world!! There we NO leftovers.
