This was the first time dining here and it was a very pleasant surprise. I ordered a hamburger and fries, and I have to say the... meal was large enough to have shared! The staff was friendly and the food was superb. It was a little bit on the higher endprice wise but absolutely worth it. Food quality was also on the higher end. I am really picky about the quality of the beefthat my family and I eat and this was top notch. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back. I got the Vol Burger. It was good. I would get it again. My wife got the steamed Ham Sandwich. It was decent, although both of... us prefer the steamed sandwiches at Nixon's Deli. The issue was neither of our sandwiches came with all the condiments that aresupposed to come on them. The receipt showed everything was ordered correctly. My burger was only missing mustard and it issupposedto come with mustard, normally. However, my wife's ham came with the wrong cheese. You have your choice and she choseprovolone. It came with American. So, they made it again. This time, it was missing the mustard, the lettuce, and the tomato.And they had put mayo on the sandwich when it wasn't ordered with mayo. So we had to go back a second time and ask for a plateof lettuce and tomato and some mustard. They just didn't have their act together today. Read more
They have great freshly made sandwiches and my favorite is the steamed roasted turkey. The staff here is very friendly, nice,... and helpful. They keep their restaurant pretty clean too. I will start with something positive the fries were excellent they were loaded all the way through. The burger however felt like... I was eating a pile of compost or vomit. When the manager came to ask about the food I was honest and told him I was notlooking for compensation just the meat held a lot of water and fell apart before I could get a couple of bites and actually mademe lose my appetite. He handled it with absolute poor customer service and hospitality with a disgusting look on his face andwalked away without even apologizing very poor customer service not friendly at all. I tried to be as polite as possible andhonest so that they can fix the issue.Anyhow the plate in the picture is the burger after a couple of bites it has completelyfallen apart and I needed a fork to finish it which I could barely finish. The prices are not as advertised. On the menu it said $8.50 for a Cajun Chicken burger but it came out $10. The menu is old and... has not been changed. A waitress said she didn't think that the website has been updated. The fries were good. Not too crispynot too raw. I couldn't finish the chicken burger as the meat was too dry. The bun was stale and falling apart. When I mentionedit, they said they usually grill it but they didn't they didn't for this one. I did get a free German cake because of it. Butthe cake was a tad too dry and almost tasteless. At one point I thought the frosting was watery because it it was toosweet. They said that this was the oldest restaurant in Knoxville which is why we came here. Read more
The mushroom swiss burger was great, y wife didn't much care for the Cajun chicken sandwich. Fries were very good. Volunbeer was... ok but not their product. The menus available were very old and had old prices on them that we still got charged the currentprice. That was the difference between $8.50 and $11 on some items. Read more
First time going here, the food was good for a decent price but the service was meh. We walked in and wiped down our own table.... There was a menu on the wall but we were also given a menu to take to the table if we wanted and it was pretty gross and dirty.We ordered at the counter and waited on our food which came out fairly quickly which was nice. The burger was good, the kidsspaghetti was good and the chicken tender were good. The club sandwich was not that great. The fries were also good. Would tryit again. Read more
