Reviews for Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill in Knoxville, TN
I mean what can you say it's a Mexican cantina that knows how to do it right. The only thing that they need to focus on to make... better is branching out out of Tennessee. My family and myself live in Kentucky and I work in Tennessee and have been a fan ofsalsarita's ever since a coworker had taken me there over 7 years ago. If I am working in Knoxville for the week salsarita'sdefinitely a place that I visit at least once a week if I'm in Nashville now that I know they have locations in Nashville I payvisits to that as well once a week and now that I saw there is locations in Memphis whenever I go to Memphis for work, youguessed it I pay a visit to salsarita's. Out of all the Mexican build your own restaurants that I have visited Moe's, ChipotleZoritos and many other build your own Mexican restaurants, salsarita's always comes through top notch. My family household weare a family of five and every time they come visit me while I'm at work the number one request salsarita's they're tortillachips are out of this world, their queso is the absolute best there is, I like it better than authentic queso in Cozumel orCosta Maya or any other Mexican restaurant in Mexico. Salsarita's you are the best keep up the good work. Read more
I?ve patronized Salsarita?s restaurants off & on for five(5) years. Since COVID I?ve noticed a decline in product presentation.... The staff are typically friendly & pleasant. Several months ago I ordered a taco salad, unfortunately the taco shell wasstale. I didn?t complain because I realize they?ve been short staffed since COVID. I took a long break from this restaurantafter the stale taco shell incident. This location happens to be near my work location I was hesitant to visit thisSalsarita?s, however it?s been several months since the stale taco shell. Yesterday , I revisited this location, & gotEXTREMELY sick immediately after dining in for 30-minutes HORRIBLY sick after eating a vegetarian burrito with rice & beans atthis location today. Based on research the rice contain spores of Bacillus cereus, bacteria that can cause food poisoning. Thespores can survive when rice is cooked. If rice is left standing at room temperature, the spores can grow into bacteria. Thesebacteria will multiply and may produce toxins (poisons) that cause vomiting or diarrhea. I had AWFUL vomiting & diarrhea forseveral hours. Due to getting an EXTREME case of food poisoning after visiting this restaurant, I will NEVER patronize aSalsarita?s restaurant again!!! Fruit flies everywhere!!!! It's disgusting! It's been like this for months. We used to like going here for a quick, convenient... meal when we're in the area in the evening, but now, every time we go in there it seems the fruit fly problem gets worse. Ithink we've been to this location for the last time. They were flying around the food as they were preparing our meals. Thewall of the hallway leading to the restrooms had at least 15-20 of them crawling around. It doesn't matter what the quality ofthe food or service is when you're having to swat more bugs inside than outside. Ewww! I think we'll just stick with theTurkey Creek location from now on. Ok so the food was great but it literally cost in the upper 60?s to feed the six of us. Plus they charged extra for part of the... order they messed up and the freestyle machine was gone. Read more
Always fresh and delicious! We get the deluxe family taco kit for work. It says it feeds 5-6 (I believe), but it easily feeds 8... lunch for work and leaves us with enough leftovers for one of us to take home for dinner. Amazing and very cost effective. Read more
Ive been here before but today I came in for a steak burrito after a long day of rotations and wow it was an awful experience.... Ive gotten the steak burrito before and I know they put a scoop of steak on it. But this time they basically rubbed the steak onthe burrito and took it off. I was so sad I had to hold back the tears. Like a coward I didn't say anything and asked for doublemeat. As a half scoop of meat was put on burrito I just wanted to leave but that would just be awkward. I added my othertoppings and usually there's that whole "wow dude how did you wrap that burrito" vibe going on. But this time, I got theexperience of watching someone poorly wrap a taco bell item. When I got to the register I basically paid $14 for a off brandTaco Bell 5 layer burrito. Im not sure if my pride will ever recover from this experience. Read more
The food is super fresh. It's clean and there are options for everybody when catered. It's simple and you can make it your own... by adding whatever you enjoy most to your entree. It gets SUPER busy here during lunch so start before 12 or after 1 for thelunch rush. Very clean are with indoor and outdoor seating options. Read more
