Wonderful meal! Delicious! Scallops with vegetables, hot and sour soup, mushroom chicken soup, crab rangoon. A simple... neighborhood restaurant serving west Knoxville for many years. There are not many of these left. Prices are reasonable. Foodis so good and they try to make it exactly to your preference. Read more

Some years ago I was longing for Eggplant Szechuan and ordered it from the waiter. He returned and told me they were out of... eggplants. But when I looked disappointed, he said "If you can wait, I will go to the store and get eggplant and cook it foryou." It took about 20 minutes longer than usual but it was delicious! Now that's service! Read more

1 star is too much. Decided to try them at the Asian Festival today, worst decision of my day. Paid $10 for a "chicken plate"... that turned out to be less than a handful of cold chicken with a scoop of sauce on top. Nothing else. Total ripoff and wasn'teven good for cold chicken. Ok never trying again. Read more

1st of all the environment was lacking a good food experience, the restaurant seemed run down, the customer experience was... horrible, the wait time was long for just 2 food orders. The food came out separately so eating with a friend or family memberin a timely lunch time matter, please reconsider. I got the Curry my family member got the Mangolian beef, it was super salty, told the waitress her recommendations was to add more rice ???????she didn't even recommend to re-cook the order or anything forthat matter just a look of "oh well" eggroll was cold inside, just a really bad experience ????the worst, Happy Gardensstandards and food are 5 ???? in comparison. all the 5 stars are confusing until you remember youre in knoxville and people here will eat any swine slop you give them.... couldn't believe how high our total was for 2 chicken based entrees, 1 veggie side, 2 egg rolls and one drink. over fiftydollars for utterly mediocre food. told they were "out of fried rice" ?? you just fry the white rice in a wok with a few veggieshow do you "run out" of fried rice at a chinese restaurant? skimpy pathetic food for extremely high prices. we actually feelanger at how deeply ripped off we were. we should have walked out when we were led past buckets catching leaks from the roof toour table.... im sure this place was good 10 yrs ago but it's long overdue for a mercy kill. avoid at all costs. the one staris for our waiter who was very polite. feel bad for the guy. put this place out of its misery please. Updated: March 29, 2019. The egg drop soup was great. Again the sauce on the sweet and sour chicken left something to be... desired. Vegetables were not cooked at all. Only rice choices were fried and white steamed (I wanted brown rice). Egg rollwas yummy. Staff was very attentive and glass was never empty. I think they may have changed ownership since the last time Iate here. Thai and Malaysian food is now on the menu. Old review: The building is a little run down, but don't let thatstop you. It was clean. My glass was never empty. Very attentive staff. I had sweet and Sour chicken, egg drop soup andan egg roll. Loved the soup. Entree was good but for some reason I wasn't pleased with the sauce... Wasn't like I rememberedwhen I ate here years ago. I'll be back and see if it's any different. Read more

Had a so so experience here. Met a friend for lunch and since neither of us had been here before we got a few different things... to try. We got the crab rangoons, which came with 4 in the triangle shape (not a fan when they do them like this, I prefer thepouches, but this is just my preference), the filling is delicious though! It was savory with a good crab flavor and slightlysweet, the duck sauce on the table was ok, it was really watery and didn't have much flavor. I got the General Tao's chickenwith fried rice and Hot & Sour soup, she got the Sesame Shrimp with fried rice and an Egg roll. I read the menu wrong andthought I got an egg roll and soup, so when they brought her egg roll and soup, I added an egg roll to mine. The soup wasn'tgood to me, when I had her try it she didn't like it either, it reminded us of egg drop soup with some brown sauce added and afew veggies. I ended up only eating 4 bites of it, so I decided to ask our waitress if I could just switch out the soup foreggroll since I didn't like it or eat hardly any of it. She wasn't sure so she went and asked and came back saying they wouldeven though you could tell she wasn't happy about it. The eggroll was ok, it was a good size and was nice and crispy, thefilling didn't have much flavor. When the entrees came out they were a good size for a lunch portion. The General Tao's wasreally good and their sauce had good flavor. The fried rice was ok (I really miss FL fried rice with veggies, up here theyshould call it Soy Sauce white rice with a smidge of egg in it). She really liked her Sesame Shrimp and sauce and when I tastedthe sauce it was good. The Shrimps we're actually Jumbo's so that was a nice surprise she said. For dessert we tried the frieddonuts and they were delicious. They are a good size and covered in suger. Overall the food was ok. The waitress was ok. Ourdislikes were having to ask for refills on our drinks and the cups being full of ice. I normally never Read more
