A hidden gem that my wife and I recently discovered. I always get "Parrilla's Best" which is steak, shrimp and chicken... fajitas. The steak is always tender, the food is always hot and served quickly, and the staff is always courteous andprofessional. We found this place about 3 weeks ago and have eaten here weekly since then. This is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the Farragut area! The atmosphere is fantastic and the service is good, and the... food is the best of all. Food was good, when I got the bill, was charged for imported beer when I was drinking domestic . So I pointed this out to the... waiter and he said they didn't have a button for Yuengling so they charged import price. He didn't want to deal with it so hewalked away. I love the food but I have to report that I won?t visit again. My stepdaughter came home the other night from Atlanta and... wanted to have Mexican so I suggested Parilla?s. I met her and my ex wife there and had a delicious meal on the patio. At theend of the meal, as we were paying, I asked if I could split it and my ex said no just leave the tip. It turned out that she didnot hear me say I didn?t have enough cash because she scratched through the tip part. My ex called me before she had left theparking lot as she looked at the bill and noticed there was no tip. I reminded her that I had said I didn?t have enough cash andcould Venmo her. She then went back into the restaurant to discover they had added a $17 dollar tip themselves in a differentcolor ink and not her handwriting. Sorry but that is not cool as it hadn?t even been 5 minutes and I am a regular customerliving less than that 5 minutes away. I am sure there are plenty of people who stiff their waitperson for not doing a good jobor whatever, but he was good and the food was good. Accidents happen and we were not any kind of nightmare customers by anymeans. I believe this is not a good practice to add in their own tips whether they got ?stiffed? or not and I am verydisappointed to leave this but if this is something happening on the regular then it needs to be brought out. Excellent Mexican food! I've been searching for an authentic Mexican shrimp cocktail and found it. I ordered rice and beans on... the side incase the cocktail was not what I hoped for, and they were excellent too! They used white cheese in their dishes andnot yellow cheese. ( I always get disappointed when I order Mexican food and see yellow cheese on my food. It's tex-mex tome) Service was a bit slow but they restaurant was full when I came in.
