One of the best places to get Japanese bar food with great atmosphere and service. Hearty portions made fresh with some of the... best well prepared ingredients. The buns are the highlight, sweet buns filled with your choice of meats. The shrimp, pork belly, and fried chicken buns were amazing! This place is seriously addictive located in the best part of Knoxville. Read more

A friend and I were looking to treat ourselves the other night and decided to try this place. It's in a cute area of downtown,... next to a glass shop and gift stores. The atmosphere is very upscale and artsy, and we dined on the patio which was fenced offand had a nice vibe. The food is in the $18-20 range for entrees and $5 for a bun. We ordered the bang bang shrimp fried rice,an eggplant bun, and a tofu/bean rice plate. When the food arrived, the plating blew me away. The colors are gorgeous and bothof our dishes were eye candy. My dish was delicious, however my friend's beans were a little bit overpowered with the flavor ofanise and possibly five spice. The bun was also delicious. The waiters checked in the right amount and were helpful in asking myfriend if they were vegan or vegetarian upon asking about the ingredients in a certain dish. Overall, it was a nice experience, just needed less kick on one of our dishes. Side note: the bathrooms are very nice. Read more

Coming from Chicago, this place was delicious! Great cross fusion. Loved the red curry chicken noodles, pork fried rice, and the... Chinese buns. The bbq kimchi one was my favorite. Would definitely recommend! The seasonal cocktails were fun, loved the BullRing! Read more

Excellent location. Within walking distance of downtown. Eclectic cool alley way for outdoor dining. Food and drink selection... was solid! Priced on the higher end of the soectrum. Dishes ended up being just ok and missing the mark. With some fine tuningthis place could be spot on. Overall worth visiting and hanging outside with a nice drink and appetizer. Read more

Amazing! I got the shoju noodles (as I love everything mushroom related). I loved it! I do want to note that my partner and I... arrived 45 minutes before closing time, and we were welcomed in with a smile. (Another group of people arrived 15 minutes afterus and were also welcomed.) I would definitely recommend this place. Read more

First off - the service, presentation, and alcohol selection are a solid 5/5. I think my expectations for the food were a little... too high, based on the assumption that the higher prices would be indicative of exceptional food. The meat in my curry was chewyand the noodles were mushy and overcooked. The dumplings struck me as being excessively doughy. I may come back at some pointand try some different menu items to get a better sampling of what the restaurant has to offer. Their imported whisky selectionalone would be worth stopping in for.
