Well for starters it was literally 65 degrees out and our server looked like he just got done running a marathon he was sweating... so much...not to mention his pinpoint pupils..so yeah! The steak was over cooked and didn't really taste like normal steak. Thecorn was worse than cafeteria corn at Knox county schools. The potatoes were so bland, no salt, no butter just meh... The onlything from our order that wasn't bad was the French toast and bacon. Then again it's kinda hard to screw that up. Long storyshort probably not gonna give this location another shot. This location has let us down yet again. We've ordered to-go the last few times and the food has tasted terrible across the... board. This time the gravy was watered down and the hash brown casserole tasted burnt and plastic-like. Understand that they'realways busy and understaffed most likely, but still. Dine-in only! Read more

I had family in Park West Hospital a few weeks back, and my uncle wanted to go to Cracker Barrell as we were heading home. We... arrived just after 3pm, so we definitely didn't have to mess with the usual CB crowds. My uncle has a serious illness and it ona walker, however, we often us a wheelchair also, as he is extremely slow. Well, first thing we encountered was very littlespace for a wheelchair (somewhat typical of most Cracker Barrels). I thought we were going to knock down a few displays on theway to the restroom. He needed to change his depends, so this was an adventure. The restroom definitely isn't handicappedfriendly, and there is no handicapped stall. It was an extremely unpleasant experience, and thank goodness, not a soul came inwhile we were doing it. We made it to the host stand, and the cashier said, they will be with you in a few minutes. I think westood there for 5 minutes. I mentioned the bathroom and the cashier said, "that's corporate for you. This is the first CrackerBarrel, and they won't update it." That explained a lot, as it felt very dingy and small, and somewhat like it was in 'thehood,' not to be disrespectful. The host finally came and apologized, as they had just cut a few servers, and she didn't havemany on (which I do understand, as I've been in the biz). Our server Sarah was kind and efficient, so at least that went well. I ordered water, and their water is absolutely nasty for my taste. My uncle even thought so. I had to order a soda, as theircity water just didn't taste right at all. Overall, this just wasn't a pleasant experience, especially in a wheelchair, and itwon't be on our list the next time we are in the area. Read more
