We always enjoy cheddars. Stopped for a late lunch while road-tripping. I was looking for a big lunch. So ordered the load... potato soup. Perfect on a rainy day with a hot crunchy croissant, it hit the spot. Hubby ordered sirloin. It came preparedperfectly. We had no wait and service was spot on. We were seated immediately, on a weekday, just at 11am. The crossaints we're pretty awesome, as were the cheese bites. My wife... got the Chicken pot pie and a salad, which was pretty awesome. I got the chicken fingers and sirloin combo with potatoes andcorn. The finders, corn, and potatoes were all very good. The steak (ordered medium rare) was WAY undercooked. Sent it backfor some more cooking and still came back raw. ( I brought it home to pan fry for steak and eggs next day). Only assumption Ihave is that it came directly from a freezer or fridge. Food was good, once they got it right. First did not have my beer on tap. Then after 5-7 minutes I was told they had no more... pot pies. Then the wrong shrimp was ordered. Staff was nice enough about it and I wasn't angry just disappointed I could getwhat I wanted at that time. However after my order came , it was all good. Red beans and rice was not as spicy as I preferbut it was okay. Chicken tenders were really good not over cooked and hard. Salad was crisp and fresh. Read more
Let's start with the positive. The Ribs were amazing and the manager was very nice and helpful when needed...and this is where... the positivity ends. The server was absolutely clueless. If she was new, she needs WAY more training, if she wasn't then she wasjust a really bad server. It took nearly 15 minutes for her to take our drink order, I had upgraded my steak to an 8 ounce, shebrought the six instead and then tried to tell me that the Rib and Steak combo came with a six ounce, when I tried to explainthat I had upgraded it to an 8oz, she nonchalantly shrugged it off and said that she didn't hear me (for the record, do notorder a steak from here, you could probably get a better cut of meat from Waffle House...yes, it was that bad), I asked herwhere my salad was and she said she must've forgotten it, she then brought it after my main had arrived with the wrong saladdressing, afterwards we finished we asked for a to go box and ordered dessert. Another 15 minutes later, she comes out and tellsus that the dessert we ordered was sold out. I had already paid on my card, so I asked for a voucher for the dessert and shesaid that she didn't know what that was and would get a manager. Another 10 minutes passed and the manager came over and wasvery nice, he said that they were out of vouchers and gave me cash back for the dessert and profusely apologized. The restaurantwas not busy at all, therefore the service should not have been so shoddy. The Ribs were incredible and that's it. I would notrecommend this place to anyone. Read more
