We dine at the Broadway location. The service has become slow. Something I learned in the restaurant business eons ago, do not... dish up or serve a meal until you can serve everyone in the party. ( We're a party of two) . This has happened on severaloccasions..One ticket, one dinner and 8 wings on the side. The pork dinner and two sides are plated and sat on thecounter...Then the 4/5 min wait on the wings. In the meantime the dinner plate is getting cold, by the time it's consumed it'sreal cold. This is unacceptable. Better training would correct this issue. Lastly, the ladies restroom is not ADA compliant..Howis that possible, how does the inspector not mark this up and require it be brought up to code? I've been a customer for manyyears. I don't need some new, fancy BBQ place to tell me what good Q is. Buddy's BBQ has has been making BBQ in Tennessee since at... least the World's Fair in 82 and maybe even before that. It's not just the fantastic ribs or the rich sauce or shredded chickenthat makes Buddy's a cut above the rest, its good old fashioned way its all made. It's in every bite! They got brisket you cansee the smoke ring on! They got a morning pig biscuit that'll make you tongue slap your cheeks! They got it all. It's not justgood Q, it's great Q. Read more
Was so excited that I got off early and come eat here tonight & was so disappointed. I understand this is a busy night, but my... half chicken was so dry & cold that I couldn't finish. Very clean. Friendly staff. Fast service. The ribs were great. Stopped at the Kingston pike location a month ago, we were served... bones, no meat. No sauce. Unfortunately we went through the drive thru and time prohibited us going back. Never again. I willonly go to this locale from now on. Thanks Buddy's for my B.B.Q. fix. Read more
Food was delicious but the girl up front named Nisha was extremely rude. Would cut me off when talking while I'm telling her my... meal. Her tune was disrespectful. I'm from out of state and just wanted to eat at a place I never have. Definitely wont becoming back to this one cause of her. Read more
I generally love eating at Buddy's whenever I'm traveling through Knoxville. The customer service at this location is mediocre.... The team here could be a bit more outgoing. The second issue was the hush puppies. They tasted bland. I love their BBQ pulledchicken sandwich. I've been getting it for years. Read more
Had the all you can eat ribs. This was the first time I wished I could eat more than I can. The ribs were meaty with just the... right amount of smokiness to their flavor. I ate way too many and was stuffed to the gills but the discomfort was worth it. Their fries brought me back to the crisp hot fries of my youth. Too many restaurants today don't seem able to make a French frywith a crisp outside, tender inside but Buddy's has found that balance. I'll be back and back, and back!!!! Read more
