This review is for food I enjoyed from Brown Bag that was provided at an event they catered. I've got to say from the salad at... the beginning of the line through to the yeast roll at the end, everything was absolutely delicious! First, let's talk aboutthe salad. Super fresh and crisp spinach with mandarin oranges, dried cranberries and fresh blackberries. The vinaigrette thataccompanied the salad provided the perfect complement to flavor and taste for all the other ingredients. There was also anotherstandard garden salad available with ranch, but if I was going to have more salad (which I did) I was sticking with the spinachand not wasting space with regular lettuce and other toppings, as good as they may have been and probably were. Next up thegrilled chicken. Nice bit of char and smoky flavor. There were both larger slices as well as plenty of little crumbly pieces soyou could put them on your salad (which I did!). The vinaigrette also tasted great on the chicken as well. For vegetables therewere sautéed/roasted zucchini squash and sweet red pepper chunks. Perfectly cooked. Tasted fresh from the garden. Anotherperfect complement to both the grilled/smoked chicken and salad. There were also mashed potatoes with the skins still in themash. These were good as well. I've had better mashed potatoes, but still not a let down by any means. Everything I spoke ofabove finished off with a nice little yeast roll. A perfect little piece of bread to enjoy for the entree and vegetablesides. I realize as an attendee you don't get to pick the caterer at your event, but let's just say if you're attending anevent where Brown Bag has catered it you're in for a treat! I cannot say enough great things about Brown Bag and its employees. The bulk orders of food are fresh and flavorful. The chicken... and beef are always cooked perfectly. Every single person at Brown Bag has been kind, courteous and helpful. My arm was recentlyin a sling and one of the young men carried my order to my car without me asking. Love the food, but what makes this experience even better is the customer service. Emma at the Knoxville store is awesome. There... was a mess up with my order and she went above and beyond to make sure that a negative experience was made into a positiveexperience. This place is delightful. Great food and I mean great. The simple menu is simply terrific. The Roast Chicken was cook perfectly... and the two sides consisted of mashed potatoes and Jalapeno corn. It is a very nice charge of pace from from the common fastfood selection that usually takes its place. Read more
I work in the Riverview Tower in downtown Knoxville and Brown Bag is right next door in the First Tennessee building. I eat here... about 3 times every week because the food is delicious and I can trust I will be eating a healthy meal on each visit. Someoptions are healthier than others, but I've never been dissatisfied with a meal I've gotten at Brown Bag. Fish tacos, salmonburger, grilled chicken... they're all my favorites. The grilled asparagus is amazing, too. One tip, though. Lately, Brown BagDowntown has been insanely busy at lunch. I call my order in, wait about 15 minutes, then go pick it up. Read more
Amazing food, great vibe and very fresh. Don't miss out on the red mashed potatoes or other amazing sides.
Used this to cater my lunch. I?m pretty sure I specifically requested and selected a boxed lunch option but the food came in... aluminum pans. Very inconvenient when offices have restrictions regarding large groups gathering. Read more
