We were in the mood for steak and decided to try Black Hat. I ordered the rib eye with a baked potato as a side. The service was... stellar, but the steak (which was pricey) didn't hit the mark - it was under seasoned and lacked a sear on the outside. I wasdisappointed with the atmosphere as well; the cowboy theme was ok, but the country music was continuous and rather loud (don'tgo if you can't sit through an hour or so of that). Glad we tried it once, but we likely won't be back. Read more

The atmosphere and location is worth the trip alone. Cosy with a western flare that harks back to the old west. Then, there's... the service and the mouth-watering, tasty food! This is where we go for special occasions that call for above average. This isour second time here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. We had the Mixed grill plate of shrimp, salmon and filetmignon with a baked potato (me) and Yukon gold mashed for the hubs. Jules was our server and took great care of us. The MixedGrill is filling and the filet was tender heaven. The shrimp and salmon were tasty and cooked right. Well worth your time andmoney. Yes, we will return again and again. Read more

If you want a real well thought out steak, the Owner grows and butchers his own cattle, then ages it to perfection, come with a... considerable amount of $$$ but, best steak I have ever eaten in a restaurant hands down. Completely worth the drive. Read more

All I can say is the cowboy was amazing. This was my first visit and I was not disappointed! The garlic mashed potatoes were... great as well. I was with a party of 8 and everyone had nothing but great things to say about their meal. Read more

I got the cowboy ribeye here and it was excellent!!! It is kind of pricey but I don't mind paying for good quality and the... quality here is in the excellent catagory. Also had a piece of home made pecan pie with an espresso flavored ice cream. Probablythe best I've ever had. Good bourbon selection. Staff was good, we were seated rite away without reservations. Great steakhouse. Read more

Nice western/cowboy atmosphere and decor and very friendly staff. We had the Cesar salad with anchovies and the house salad to... start. Both were very good. Nice shaved Parmesan in the Cesar. My gin huckleberry martini was good. They forgot the advertisedsugar rim, but a minor error. We split the seafood combo platter and added on “Oscar style”. The Béarnaise sauce was agood addition to the seafood plate, but the blue crab was completely tasteless and there were only 3 sad, skinny asparagus ($10add-on). Only 3 shrimp on the $43 plate seemed very skimpy, too. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive enough. Onenote is they won’t bring bread unless you ask for it, which is reasonable to me. I had the sense this was a family tunbusiness. When we left at 9 pm, we were one of the last patrons. I hope they get enough business as it was a pleasant eveningwith thoughtfully prepared food.
