If I could give 0 stars I would!! Never order from the Highland location! I placed my order on line in the morning for a pick up... @ 5:35PM My husband got there and had to wait 25 min because the food was not ready!! Then when he looked in the bag they weremissing a drink and a dessert! Once he got home the food was cold and my order was wrong! I was supposed to get seasoned friesand white meat, what I got was a double leg and reg fries, the same as my husband ordered, it's like they were to lazy toactually look at the order! This location was renovated since the last time I was there. I didn't recognize it when I entered. Very nice atmosphere... inside. Was kindly greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress was very friendly and provided quick service. The food wasexcellent, came to our table quickly, there were no mistakes on the order, and as per usual Swiss Chalet fair, you get a lot forthe money. Read more
I dined with a group of 5 the evening of Thanksgiving Monday. I understand that they were likely busy with takeout because of... the holiday, but inside was not that busy. I only saw two servers, so they may have been understaffed that night. Firstly, whenwe sat down, the table we were put at was covered in crumbs and ring stains from glasses, so we asked the hostess if she wouldwipe it down for us. Once the table was wiped, we were greeted by our server Chris, who was so sweet and lovely to deal with theentire time. We got our drinks promptly and placed our food order, which took about an hour to arrive at our table. One personin my party had a salad appetizer and waited 40 more minutes after that before recieving the meal! I think Chris, the server,was also getting concerned about where our food was at this point, because we thought we overheard her talking to the otherserver about it. Anyways, once we got our food, everything was delicious and the orders were nearly perfect; though my dad wasgiven fries instead of the salad he ordered (which we didn't notice until the end). When this was mentioned Chris brought us asalad to take home instead. She brought our desserts and bill promptly once we finished our dinners. Overall, we had a verypleasant server and the food was very good, but the wait time for food was a bit ridiculous and the dirty table was not a greattouch. Read more
I have been going to this particular location for over 25 years now. I have always enjoyed the food. The staff has always been... kind. I've never had to wait very long. I highly recommend this Swiss. Looking forward to my next visit already! Read more
Having read many reviews, both good and bad, a friend and I went for lunch today to see for ourselves. I had the hot chicken... sandwich with fries and steamed veggies, and she had a quarter chicken. Everything was hot and fresh and well presented, andour server, Jacinta, was very pleasant. We were very pleased. On a side note, the renovations are nice, although due to astrange design feature, staff cannot see you waiting at the front desk. We waited, but other people who arrived after us had toshout "Hello?" to be recognized and seated. (They could have simply walked a few feet forward and discreetly waived, all thesame.) Read more
My friend and I love Swiss Chalet so we were excited to go yesterday to the one on Highland Rd. Just opened two months ago... after being closed for a few yrs.Took quiet a while to get setted. Had to ask for our table to be wiped down after asking thewaitress to do it . More waiting time again. Finally came back & took our order. Waited another half hour to get the food thatwas cold. Ate our meal because we could only see two waitresses in the whole restaurant. That to me is the owners fault not thewaitress. The two of them were running around to do their best..we had to ask for our bill. The waitress asked our our meal wasthat is when we mentioned okay but cold. All & all we were in the restaurant almost two hrs for one dinner & one order ofwings. Will probably not go back. Very disappointed in the meal & service. Read more
DO NOT order from Highland Swiss Chalet. My family has been eating KW Swiss Chalet for many years, but last night marks the... worst delivery experience of my entire life. Our food arrived 1h36m after dispatch. While waiting, I called the restaurant notonce but twice to follow up. When placing the order, the customer rep confirmed that I could use my gift card. The delivery man,however, rejected my gift card because his machine was "outdated". He tried cheering me up, saying the chicken came straightfrom the rotisserie. The chicken was lukewarm at best and probably sat under heat lamps. To top everything off, my dessert wasthe saddest slice of apple pie. I have never had problems with the Weber or Boardwalk locations. Unfortunately, this locationis ruining the Swiss Chalet name. Read more
I'm not sure if it was due to a potentially new server, or because it was a busy Saturday evening, or a combination thereof, but... my partner and I received absolutely horrible service today and walked out. We waited 25 minutes after being seated in a cornerfor no one to acknowledge us, let alone come by for drinks. When someone finally came, there was no apology or greeting,immediately asking "would you like to put an order in?". The server was near non-comprehensible asking what we wanted to drinkmultiple times, we also had a coupon for 2 quarter chicken dinners and we were pretty sure whatever they wrote down was going tocome out horrendously wrong. Fearing this and being pressed for time we walked out (letting them know we were leaving). Hostessalso commented "wow, that was fast" on our way out. Not that we expected such, but a concern as to what went wrong would havebeen appreciated. Fairway road location is and has always been much better. Would not return to this location. Read more
