Staff is super nice! BBQ was good and not greasy. Would have loved more hushpuppies with our family order.

Driving through Kinston and had to stop. Pig and poke was good, ribs were good, onion rings could use a different batter in... my opinion and tea did not taste fresh was old and harsh tasting. Stopped by their Take Out counter this past Thursday evening, which has a separate entrance on the left side of their... restaurant. Ordered their delicious Half Back Barbecue Ribs, plus cole slaw and pork barbecue. Best ever cole slaw, just theright tanginess, not too much mayo, etc. Highly recommended! Read more

This place is huge. There are separate areas for takeout, restaurant dining and the buffet. We did take out and it was crowded... but moved pretty quickly. The woman of the counter was super friendly. Barbecue was great, it was already sauced so it had theeastern tang to it. Collards were good but could have used a little more meat. Not a big fan of the potato salad because ithad relish in it but that's me. Hush puppies were awesome. The buffet is simple (definitely not fancy) but the food lookedgood and had lots of options. The Q on the buffet was half of a small pig that you picked yourself which was awesome to see. I'd definitely go back. Read more
