We celebrated a family event at The Golden Ginza and we had so much fun!! We had a hibachi table. The chef was very entertaining... and the food was delicious!! Charming Japanese restaurant for Kingston n.y area. Offers Teppanyaki style and individual table's .Fresh sashimi, sushi, nice... touch with complimentary oshinko, shrimp/vegetable tempura, light and fresh, delicious ,gyoza fried well. Yaki-tori (chicken)would taste better if grilled instead of boiled and sauce added. ingredient's fresh and chef is very accommodating if you havefood allergy they will make sure you are happy. Got a bento box. Been getting bento boxes and the price keeps going up and the portions keep getting smaller. I didn't even get... vegetables on the last 2 I ordered. Not coming back, they didnt even give me rice and rice is supposed to come with everything.Miso soup was only halfway filled. I mean come on, I paid 28 bucks and work a 12 hr shift, im not gonna be full after this. Read more

Affordable tasty sushi and sashimi! Went here on valentines day and had a great time. There was a group of four doing Hibachi a... few tables away and that was fun to watch :-). Overall the price was affordable (considering we ordered the Sushi + Sashimi boatfor 2, as well as cocktails/Sake). One of the sashimi was not completely defrosted BUT the salmon was so freaking good I stillgive this place 5 stars. Oh- and our server was absolutely wonderful :-) Will definitely be coming back! Delicious food, and great atmosphere in the historic kingston waterfront district. Whether your looking for classic... Japanese-american faire, or dinner and a show with hibachi this is one of the best spots in kingston. Wait staff were superattentive and polite, and the fish was fresh and refreshing. I love that they brought pickled cucumber to the table as anappetizer and pineapple chunks at the end. My date had the shrimp tempora, which was fried to perfection, and I ate an entiresushi boat for 2 that was super tasty and exquisitely prepared. Also had was some edamame and baby octopus. The entire meal wasgreat and I loved the atmosphere of hibachi everyone was having so much fun! Would definitly recommend and can't wait to comeback with a bigger party for hibachi. Read more
The staff was amazing and friendly. The food was well cooked and all came hot and fresh. Definitely woukd be going back quite... frequently if I didn't live an hour away but it's worth the drive. Read more
