One of our favorite places to take out of town guests and whenever we want to enjoy a nice night out. Great food, atmosphere and... the staff are always wonderful to us. It's been one of our favorites since we moved into the valley 7 years ago. Such nice andwarming atmosphere on a cold, snowy evening. We love to have dinner next to the huge fireplace, that's in the middle of thedining room. It's a 140 something, year old log cabin style building, that has an incredible and interesting history. That'swhat gives it all it's charm!! The stories it could tell!! Anyway, stop by and enjoy all that this restaurant can give you!! Welove to go to it after floating down the CDA River in the summer!! Great views from the back patio!! Read more

I really liked the ambience. I ate Rocky Mountain Oysters for the first time. They were good. The owner, Tom, stopped by to talk... to us. I liked that. My brisket sandwich was good. I think the onion rings were over cooked though, hence the four stars. Staffwas friendly and the restaurant clean. I took a picture of a sign that was in the bathroom and added it. Read more

The food was average (salmon taco, brisket taco, cheeseburger, pulled pork sandwich), but we loved the atmosphere, the décor,... and the live band that performed the evening that we were there. The customer service was very good as well. Overall, we had avery good experience. Read more

Awesome food and great service! We called ahead because we were bringing 19 people, including children. They said they don't... take reservations but if we warn they can arrange tables. Called 15 minutes before leaving Kellogg. When we arrived it was aninteresting view that I posted below, definite it's own aesthetic. They had our tables ready and Katrina was ready to help us.They gave us our menus, took our orders and brought us our drinks. Some of our party tried the Moose Drool which is a darkstout, and they enjoyed it very much. Some of us ordered fish and chips which they enjoyed. We had the Snake Bitten which wedivided between 4 of us, which was a little much especially if you have an appetizer before. The pulled pork was flavorful, thebrisket was good but over sauced and the sausage was very good. We had the beans, Cole slaw, waffle fries and Buffalo chips.Buffalo chips were more of a kettle chip. The sides were great. The burgers were great and the steak was cooked correctly. Mywife had the half nachos which are made using the kettle chips, and all the usual nacho toppings plus brisket... She loved itbut even a half was too much. It was a great meal that we followed with the moonshine, an interesting flavor that some enjoyedand others didn't. Needless to say I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place to eat withfull serving sizes. Read more

The food was sketchy this day. Burger buns were burnt, and the patties were cooked seriously dead. The grilled cheese was just... plain weird, it looked like the cheese had melted out to roughly twice the size of the bread and cooked crispy. Service was soslow. Had to settle for one beer since I couldn't get our waitress's attention no matter how I tried. This said, this is myfirst really poor experience at the pit. Been coming here through the years, usually just a few times each season, and it'susually good. Read more

Home made Clam Chowder, delicious chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy and a huckleberry shake! Kim gave us excellent service! Thanks so much to the owner for making it right, itmeans alot to me that you value your customers that much! Awesome establishment. Wait staff neat folks and entertaining to say the least. Knowledgeable about local area and the history... of the building. There is a place above the bar where your money and signature may live forever. Food was hot and timely. Tastewas down right good. Coffee was bold, hot and perked ya up. Walk the perimeter if you have time. All sorts of plant life eventhe mysterious Mountain Blueberry ???? you can find if you have a keen enough eye. If you like hand made furniture, giant woodburl art or the likes you are in for a real treat. Check the outhouse for snakes before you open the lid! Friendly word ofcaution. Lol Read more
