Banana and peanut butter smoothie was amazing!
Ordered from the App with a reward, came in at the appointed time and waited 14 minutes while 5 people walked up to the counter... and ordered and got theirs fast. I think something is wrong with the app processor in the store. The next time I ordered withouta reward everything went fine. Ordered again about a week later on the app with a reward, I went in at the appointed time, thestore wasn?t busy and the order wasn?t ready. A young guy asked me if I needed to order, and I said I ordered online. He saidthey didn?t have any online orders and asked if I was at the right location. I checked my confirmation email and it said NEastman Road Kingsport, TN. I went back to my car for a few minutes and then walked back in to see if my order came throughbecause I hate to pay for something and not get it. He said the order did not come through and there was nothing he could do. I guess I've not visited Smoothie King in a while ... or maybe ever? So I was expecting a delicious yet healthy thing to... drink--I've made plenty of smoothies myself with vegetables and fruit that I consider above average, I figured, surely someplacethat calls themselves the KING of smoothies can do even better! But I just got an oddly chalky, yet still slightly refreshingand moderately filling smoothie. I don't think there is anything wrong with this store specifically besides the fact that Ihappened to visit it ... and perhaps that it propagates the problematic notion that having something "healthy" requires asacrifice in taste. Very friendly staff, quick service. I'm sure I got what I ordered and it was made just to the letter of thebrand, but I don't understand why people come back. But considering all of the other chain restaurants nearby it sadly might bethe actual healthiest option around, which says more about Kingsport than Smoothie King. Read more
